Hear alot of news with the new Dark Eldar codex out, but haven't had access to it myself ... I hear it has a selection of new units .... given that the DE have had a pretty skimpy selection Epic army lists in the past if anyones had a go at converting them? |

Thats neat and I do hope to see them but ... sorry I think I typed my initial post not very clearly. I meant has anyone had a go at converting the stats of the likes of the Chronos, Venom, Wretches(?) to Epic rules? |

I think most of those can be considered to be incorporated into the stats of existing units. As an example, the Grotesque stat-line can be assumed to include a portion of Wracks as part of the Homonculi entourage. Personally, I'd be happy to just assume that out of 12-20 Raiders in any given army that a portion of them are Venoms using Raider stats and not come up with Venom-specific stats. However, if that's too abstract (and for many players it is), the new units could be set up for new, alternate DE lists with the new aircraft, Cronos, etc.. It just needs a good theme that can reasonably add some new stuff and trim some older stuff. |

Oh I'm not to worried about seeing them in a proper list, just a quick knockup will do. |

it's also intresting that Jervis has pretty much confirmed the existence of the fan epic units in the canon-verse (in the video interview) heck, there's even a barge of pleasure in the bottom of the picture on the new raider box! |

He's definitely willing to move things from Epic to the 40K studio. If I had to guess, I'd say that he probably thinks Epic should drive more of the universe than it does (as much or more than Apocalypse). I think it was Corey that first proposed the new Necron war engines, and Jervis was clearly smitten with the concept of the Abbatoir. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see it eventually find its way into canon. |

He seemed genuinely appreciative of the effort and acknowledging him in the book. It's fun to consider Raiders having a small bit of influence on the direction of the Dark Eldar. Given the boogey man style that they've put to it all, it's either a tremendous coincidence or they liked the Raiders concepts and rolled with them/improved upon them. Nice to know they are now seen as more than dark elvish S&M freaks in space. |

I'd thought they would be a great addition going all the way back to SM2, after reading the account of the Eldar's fall in Renegades. There were all sorts of angles that could be worked. The concept was so full of promise, but the result was so full of fail. I didn't give them a second look until you were almost done with Raiders. |
