Greetings from the NetERC and the NetEA Project!

Please find attached the 2010 Draft of the Imperial Navy section of the NetEA Army Book. Please examine this document for typos, inconsistencies, and unclearness, or any other issues you may feel need to be resolved before final release.

This section includes the following armies:

No armies at all! Only Imperial Navy Allies units.

Where did the lightning stats come from? Must say highly unimpressed doesn't fully sum up my response.

The Elysian's list, the only list that I'm aware they're in.

Call it Imperial Battleship and Imperial Cruiser.
Ditch the class names. It doesn't do justice to BFG. ;)

Most lists I've seen specify the stratergy rating of allied formations as well as the main armies (and they're often different)

could the wording of the 2nd part of the sentence cause confusion? I'm not aware of any Imperial lists with army wide special rules, but for future prooofing?

No army has different Strategy Ratings for different formations, not sure how that would even make sense; there are differing Initiative values which are, or should be, specified on an army by army basis, that's what the rule is indicating.

The Armageddon Steel Legion PDF also uses both Lightnings. I took the stats from the Elysians.

Anyone know who actually wrote the various stats for the Lightnings?

Zombo wrote his own for the Sisters list, as the stats in the Elysian list deviate somewhat by making up new weapon names/types I guess.

That, and as TRC said, the Elysian versions are rubbish. I also made them have no save as they're supposed to be much more lightly armoured than thunderbolts.

I really like the stats I came up with, as they provide an excellent interceptor that's relatively weak on ground attack, much as they should be.
