**Note: Full Battle Report to follow Sunday (or possibly Monday evening) Nothing can compete with the jaw-dropping spectacle that is Ulrich's Tau 27k v Imperium 39k full-scale all-out war so I'm not going to try. You need to see that first before having a read at this little skirmish! viewtopic.php?f=85&t=24301 Back? Amazing, wasn't it? Anyhoo.... This report is a playtest for the first of several "It's All Mine!" scenarios that I'm designing simply for my own fun. If you are interested in reading the scenario rules, they can be found by clicking on the following link; viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24279 In addition, if you want to see how I scratch-built the mine objectives, please see this thread; viewtopic.php?f=28&t=24287 Ok, on with the show... |

Hi Bissler, when I 1st saw your mines I thought that they are producing resources for reinforcements that can be used on the battlefield Let me say 100 points per turn and mine would ba also a possibility to use them. Looking forward to your report ![]() |

That's an interesting idea Ulrich, will maybe try to have a think about writing a scenario with that in mind. There's another 5 to come first though! Anyway, back on with the battle report! |

We chose to employ two of the optional rules for the scenario; Gerrorf my land & Gimme Shelter. The first means that the mines cannot be robbed if there is an enemy unit nearby, the latter that infantry units can hide within the mines. Do you want to know more? Please refer to the scenario rules for further clarification. |

Centre flank: Warhounds supported by Rhinos carrying Tactical Troops face off against Doomweavers and Wave Serpents carrying Striking Scorpions.

Right flank: More Assault and Tactical squads are up against an Eldar Warlock and more Guardians and Grav Tanks. Do the Eldar seem a bit thin on the ground? That's because the Eldar player has forgotten to deploy his Eldar Grav Tank Host!! More on that later!

Turn 1 left flank movement: The Marine's Company HQ unit takes control of one mine while Dire Avengers do the same at the opposite side of the board. A squad of Assault Marines plunder another mine but their operation is set to be disrupted by approaching Guardians...

Centre Flank Post-Movement: Marines are in full charge with Assault Troops securing another objective while Warhounds and Tactical troops look to dominate the centre of the battlefield. Howling Banshees seek to support Eldar Guardians but fail to reach their comrades before the Marines' assault troops pounce upon them...

Right Flank Turn 1 Post-Movement: Wave Serpents unleash their deadly cargo of Striking Scorpions who immediately set about some hasty Tactical Troops. The nearby objective is now disputed so no looting can take place. The Wave Serpents are themselves attacked by opportunisitc Tactical Troops. Further up the oboard a squad of Guardians secure and move inside a mine to engage in some lucrative gem acquisition... Most worryingly for the Marines, the Warhound's void shields fail to protect it from a Warlock's psychic lock!
