Good to see your squats in action and your squat stronghold/underground base terrain piece looks great. |

Wow, all that carnage and there were still 2 objectives contested! That is a great looking battle, but it must be tricky playing the game like that! |

Thanks Zap, do you mean the CCs? When we changed our moving system to NETEPIC( moving rotatory instead of one sides move then the other) my biggest fear was that there will be confusing CCs but it works out ok We used 2 houserules in this battle - Units with template weapons in CC if a unit i.e. a battery basilisk is attacked in CC on first fire it may choose instead of fighting to blow itself up. While most artillery units have a bad CC value (0 till -3) they are chanceless against CC units Now since these units only had template weapons to fire at the attackers our earliest rule was they cannot shoot at cc attackers at all. So we changed it. When a unit chooses to selfdestruct lay a 6cm barrage template(if the units uses a 6cm template if its using a 12 cm template lay the 12 cm) centered over the selfdestructing model the template hits everything which is at least half under the template and hits with the amount of barrage points the whole unit produces this should represent that the crew is blowing up the whole ammunition work out the damage then remove the attacked model. -Shooting in or out woods our normal rule was that only Inf. and walkers may enter woods at all while all other units may move at the edge from woods which provides them a Hit modifer for cover -1 now units insides woods are not able to shoot out or being targeted at all this allows you to keep you Inf./walkers save from all shooting Now in this battle my friend used this rule to hide ogryns in woods on first fire I had to attack him with only Inf. while all my bikes where useless and none of my support units was able to shoot at them try to charge 12 stands ogryns which may shoot at you first on a +4 then fighting with it´s great CC value +6 ![]() its really hard I would have needed 20+ stands of berserkers Now this let us think about this rule again and we decided, that units which are at the edge of woods may shoot at units hiding in this woods with a hit modifer for cover -2 and units inside woods may shoot at units hiding at the dege with a hit modifer for cover -2 cheers Ule |

This is a really nasty tactic +4 CC and 2x+5 shooting is very hard my friend considered to use terminators in this matter during our next battle +6CC 2x+4 shooting ![]() |

As a partial counter, we play that forward observers (only) can call down indirect fire on any location on the board they can see, rather than targetting a unit. Helps a little sometimes. |
