The first one is the battlefield
you can see 4 blue objektives
The imperial army will have the order
to take ALL 4 red objektives
and at last 2 of the blue ones
the 4th red one is inside the hill/bunker



Squat Army 10100 points:
Choosing a Squat army is quite easy, since you do not have too much units

First of all I took 3 Warrior brotherhoods and an Ironbreaker BH. to fill all those trenches, bunkers, woods, and buildings.
Being aware of the mighty Imperial AirForce I took 4 additional Thunderer Det. and 3 Det, of Thunderfirecannons
The best CC units the Squats have are their Guildbiker COs.
So I included 2 of them in my army as 2 additional Trike units
A Grand Warlord should lead the Inf. from the Bunkerkomplex.
Now it was time for the heavy stuff
Thunderes and ThunderfireC. are great AA units but the best one is the Overlord amoured Airship
the abillity to shoot in the First fire phase combined with its toughness and the Floater abillity makes
the OAAS one of the best Epic units at all.
I took all I got (4)
Now 3 Det. Ironshield and a Gyrocopter CO. should do the armour work
While a Goliath mega cannon battery should duel with the imperial artillery.
First I wanted to take each of the Squats Pretoreans
but the Imperiak Warp missiles persuaded me to switch to
just one extra large Landtrain

Squats in position
Well my plan was to build up 3 defense lines
The first one consisted of Trikes, berserkers and Warriors
while the 4 Bike Det. stayed as a mobile reserve behind line1(draw a line over all 4 blue objektives)
The second consited of Tanks, Gyrocopter and Thunderes
The third and thoughes one had the 2 hills on each side
and a warrior BH to defend each as Thunderfire cannons, Goliath mega cannons, Airships and ironshields

The Airships should partol the Squat side and shoot down as many Imperial Flyers as they can

The defenders inside of the bunkerkomplex
the Ironshields and Thunderes may fire out in a 90 degree arc
the Berserkers were a CC reserve

should land at objektives 5 and enter the Bunkerkomplex from the top


Second Airborne Bat. Imperial Guard
should take objektive 8 and after secured it, move over to objektive 7


Imperial Guard Artillery Co.
has the order to take out any bunker and entrechment

The Spacewolves Tank Grenadier Brigade,
divided in 3 Battallions, should break through the outer Squat defense lines
enter the Bunkerkomplex from the ground
and support the attack at objektive 7

Oh I started setup friday evening and finished battle saturday at 11 o´clock pm
but had some interruptions so about 10-14 hours including setup

This awllows the tank grenadiers to reach the second defense line

TURN1 Movement Phase

The Ultramarines tuched down on the hilltop
the battle CO. engaged Warriors and Thunderfire Cannons
while the Veterans CO. has not disembarked yet


The berserkers rush to secure the hilltop entrance


The first casualties 2 Thunderbolts and Maraudeurs shot down by the Squat thunderfirecannons

TURN1 Firstfire phase


The first shot fired by the one-shoot-warlord
missed! The warp missile passed harmless the LandTrain
but the Vortex struck home destroying the Landtrainengine and another Battlecar
the commander of the Warlord wanted to use his chance to destroy that mighty vehicle completely

with his barrage missile
but while sucessfully killing a whole Det. of marines
only 1 additional battlecar was destroyed

You can Now see the Ultras Veterans Co. attacking the Squat grand Warlord and his Bodyguards



The Landtrain returned fire with its Radbombs and mortars
aiming the radbombs direct at the Squats first defense line
they took out nearly a complete Det, spacewolves greyhunter
and some basilisks
