right we need more Battlereports
so I will do my best ;)
I will add the text later

The Battlefield/setup

The Plan:
After recognizing that I am facing a high mobile IG force supported by excellent amoured warlords I get a bit worried
Especially this damm warp missile could kill one of my Mantas by easy.
So what is to do?
After thinking a lot I got my plan
Keep it simple keep it working ;D

I wanted to land my 2nd Manta right in front of that dam one-shoot-missile-warlord
and while disembarking, 9 battlesuites should kill the warlord or at least damage/destroy this warp missile.

While the crisis suites are to weak to kill a warlord in 1 turn
and the boardsides do not have the fire-on-the-fly abillity
I choosed the 3 command units(2xHunter cadre 1xBattlesuit cadre) for this suicide mission.


My overall plan was:
defence left flank attack on the right

Turn 1

Movement Phase :

My Manta Cadre landed on the right
in front of this big imperial building
while the Firewarriors searching for cover
the command unit draw back into the woods and opening up fire on one Warlord to srip its shields.
After throwing lucky and high dices the warlord lost all its shields
and with the last shoot I hit its head
my friend missed the armour save and I throw a 6
The first warlord crashes to the ground.

But not enough my 2nd Manta landed in front of the one-shoot-warlord
and 9 battlesuits opend up fire
strippin its shield hitting its head and throwing 6 ...of course
Oh man the 2nd warlord crashed to the ground.
My friend was shocked really shocked
he lost 2 out of 3 Titans without fireing a shot :-[

Oh dear I had to talk to him entire 10 min to pretend him to stop the game.

Since I needed only 6 battlesuits to kill that warlord the last 3 battlesuits killed 3 basilisks and 1 hydra

The Imperial landing carfts tuched down
and 2 Tactical CO. 1 Jumppack CO.
2 Det. Beastmen and 3 Det. ogryns disembarked on advanced(they have to according to the rules)

My friend chose his landing zones not very smart
direct into the Tau`s beehive >:D
Okay about 100 stands of IG troops landed at my defence line
but they were surrounded by a lot of Tau troops many battlesuits and Tanks...BAD IDEA

Combat phase;
The tau opend up fire, on the airborne troops with everything they had
killing about 60%
Th Ig fire was unaimed and ineffective killing only a few firewarriors,hammerheads, devilfishes and pathfindersniper

The tau managed to kill some shadowswords, hydras, basilisks during first fire

In the advanced segment my air cast opedn up fire at the IG air force
killing 5 maraudeurs and 4 thunderbolts and one of the imperial landing crafts.
