Because of Angron four units go on Fall Back orders just at the right time. The Shadowsword and Retributors on the hill who were waiting to fire. The Stormtroopers engaged against the Cultist Khorne Acolytes and the remaining Novitiate.

The very air is rent asunder as the Cannon of Khorne wreathed by deadly energies launch three obsidian spheres of crackling energy toward the Imperial lines. Each sphere hits their targets in turn. Only one finds a weakness in it's targets armour and the Shadowsword it was fired at explodes in a storm of shrapnel killing even more of the enemy.

The Sisters reply is just as accurate. A Squad of Retributors fire on the Banelord and strip all of it's shields in the one salvo.
Soon the Banelord is caught in a deadly crossfire. Some Exorcist blow the Titans Doomfist off sending it spinning end over end to land with a sickening crunch on a Chaos Marine stand. A shot rips into the Titans head killing some of the crew and another damages the Titans Leg. Even the Titans Doomburner is damaged and requires urgent repair. The Banelord can must roll a 4+ to move or fire and it's Caf is halved for the rest of the battle. It may only move at half speed and may not enter difficult terrain... but it's still standing.
In a restless flurry the uneven exchange of fire peters out and the Close Combat phase begins.

Angron quickly dispatches the eradicators and John plays Blood Rage (very apt) allowing Angron to move and fight again. Angron lands on top of a Shadowsword that is already on Fall Back orders and tears into it. The effect of Angrons Furious Roar have left the nearby Retributors helpless to exact revenge in the Advance phase while a squad of Stromtroopers engaged in close combat are also paralysed with fear. It was a perfect use of a Greater Daemon and Chaos Card.

Reeling from Angrons renewed attack the combat on the left flank takes on a bitter aspect as both sides fight to the death.

A seemingly minor engagement on the extreme right becomes far more serious as when the last Chaos Fanatic dies John plays Plague Bearer. Two stands of Battle Sisters and four of PDF Riflemen die horribly from the disease. Damn, those covert Nurgle infiltrators.

Although the combat in the Centre starts well for Chaos fate turns once again denying John victory here.
The Stormhammer repeatedly shoots the Juggers that charge it and blasts away at the Banelord. Despite failing their saves the Juggers charge still goes ahead. It takes all three Juggers to destroy the Superheavy Tank but it dies none the less.
The Prioress killed a Berserker in the First Fire phase while the Repentia hack and slash like never before. Gripped by Holy Rage and benefiting from the Prioress' Combat Leadership and the tender mercies of the nearby Hospitiler the Sisters reek vengeance on those around them breaking the Berserkers (for shame) and killing all the mutants to hand. Their glory is short lived however as the Daemon Engines prepare to smash the survivors in the Advance Fire phase.

Sorry I forgot to take close ups of the Close Combat results. Hopefully you will be able to see what you need here.
The Repentia are wiped out, gunned down by the Daemonic Engines of destruction. Imperial fire proves inadequate to the task and the forces of Chaos enjoy the novelty of fire superiority. The Banelord must roll a 4+ to fire and does. A salvo of Havoc Missiles slash into the trees housing the Retributors that had stripped it's shields. Five stands of Retributors become crispy critters in the blinding flash of the explosions.
Cadoras the Lord of Battles slaughters Sisters and Stormtrooper with ease with his Deathstorm Gatling and Hellstrike Cannon.

The Imperials are given a taste of their own medicine when a Caldron of Blood spews molten Daemon blood over it's foes.

At last the last shot is fired and the End phase has arrived
