We played two Redux games this past Saturday. First game was against CaptPiett. He took the LatD and I took Minvervans:

Minervans won strategy and proceeded to shell the Contagions (killing 3 and breaking them), intermingled cultists (doing a bit of damage) with Manticores. The second group retained and managed to kill a Hellcannon, breaking the formation.

Russes and Baneblades moved up, trading blows with Covens and Hellcannons. The Exterminators broke from fire to the cannons and Plague tower, and fell back. The Shadowsword claimed a DC a on the tower and Hellhounds double to break the infantry on the hill.

Two plague zombies come in around the artillery and Shadowsword, Guard win strategy again and start with a miss from the Shadowsword on the plaguetower and the Baneblades taking out three Hellcannons to break them.

After that, in no particular order, plague zombie bounce off of Manticores and break, Russes break the Defilers while moving into support of a Cover, Hellhounds engage that coven and break them, and Manticores and their Salamander screen shoot some Plague Zombies. The Salamanders on the hill manage to lay a BM on the second Hellcannons and break them.

LatD wins strategy, but fail to activate. The rest of the game is foggy but Hellhounds grabbed the blitz early and broke a Coven. The Plague Tower ended up doubling back to break them. LatD had a few more failed activations which lead to broken formations. The Russes ended up marching at the end to grab Blitz, and the Salmanders on the hill held T&H.

LatD suffered heavily for failed activations in this game, while for Guard they were mostly limited to the Salamanders and poor Shadowsword accuracy. 2-0 Guard in the 3rd with Blitz and T&H
