Turn 2: The Reaver Titan and the Land Raiders concentrate their firepower in the Armoured Fist Platoon, destroying the Chimeras with their soldiers inside. Landspeeders and Fenrisan wolfs are also destroyed. On the other flank the Vraksian HQ and some Hydras move to control the center objectives and threat to advance into the Blitz.

Turn 3: The Vrakians infantry moves into the hill controlling/disputing 2 objectives. The last Great Company defends their Blizt. Red Scorpions win for destroying the BTS (Malcador Company

Thoughts: Again, putting the Malcadors in Garrison may be tempting, but its too risky as the tend to concentrate the enemy fire early on. This list was not able to deal with a Titan, so no chance to achieve BTS. The rest was a bit of bad luck, miscalculation from my side (not disembarking the infantry from the Chimeras was awful) and a hard resistance from the Great Company defending the ruins.

Thanks for another battle report and for marking the objectives on the photos. That helps a lot in understanding the game, as usually it is not easy to recognize them on the photos.

How the Vraksians felt to you compared with Steel Legion? What was the impressions of your adversary? Usually Vraks is called Guard on steroids so it is interesting to hear your thoughts on how it fared compared with approved Guard lists save for Krieg which is heavy on drugs too.

By the way, a game cannot end on 1-0 on the third turn but has to have at least 2-0 or 2-1. On subsequent turns it is allowed. Also, the lists are 3k points but a Reaver titan was added and it seems that there is differences between the lists and the photos.

Thanks for your remarks,
I realized that the posted army list of the Wolfs was the wrong one. I have corrected it.
About the comparison with the Steel Guard Legion, here is the mirror list to the one I used as Vraks:
++ Epic Armageddon (Imperial Guard: Armageddon Steel Legion) [3,000pts] ++

Artillery Company [550pts]: 9x Basilisk
Infantry Company [300pts], Griffon Battery
Mechanized Infantry Company [400pts]: 7x Chimera
Regimental HQ [475pts]: 7x Chimera
Tank Company [750pts]: 10x Leman Russ, Infantry Platoon
Basilisk Battery [225pts]
Flak Battery [150pts]
Flak Battery [150pts]

It has one activation less (the Valdor Tank Hunters) but instead 7 Chimeras more and better tanks. That is why I would not call the Vrakisian “Steel Legion on steroids”. From the games I played with them until now I never felt that they were too powerful. They are just another variant of the Guard, and I love their minis. Maybe in combination with the Alpha Legion allies could they be a bit “on steroids”, but alone are quite normal from my point of view.
