Thanks for the report, just a query, in the Red Corsairs list there aren't any noise marines or berserkers, they are required to access the daemon knights and brass scorpions, did I miss something? |

Great report as always! Taking Red Corsairs without using thunderhawks and drop pods was a very interesting choice. Always nice to see different takes on armies! |

Oh so they are! I just used the NetEA army builder, better look at the actual army list next time thanks kyuss! |

Thought the Eldar army was remarkably effective in this case - "good match up". Interesting how scary the multiple batteries of Night Spinners were. They were certainly good at breaking up the fairly numerous infantry formations. Do think that the "feature" of the Alaitoc Army, the Rangers with Falcons are rather over costed. For 400 points you get: 4 Falcons, 4 Rangers. For the SAME POINTS in a regular list you get: 4 Rangers [100 pts], AND 4 Falcons, 2 Fire Storms [300 pts]. Two formations to help the activation count, a additional pair of great AA platforms, and two formations focused on what they do best (AP or AT) rather than a mixed purpose group. Realise I could move mounted (35 cm), dismount (+5 cm), shoot (30cm) for a 70 cm Sniper threat range but that only looks like one or two hits (AP5+, -1 for cover) and the rest of the fire from the Falcons is only useful if the target has some AVs. OK, everyone knows the Alaitoc Eldar list is sub-optimal. Including me before I pulled the troops from the box. Only two (ever) lists recorded on the Epic UK site - so a resounding agreement there! |

Yes I think the Eldar ranger formation with falcons is a bad formation to start with, that is then also very overcosted! |

You think it would cost 300 (100 for the Rangers, 200 for the Falcons). Being able to garrison the Falcons might be worth something, I definitely don't think it's 100 points though. Thanks for the report guys. |
