Hi All, Over the labour day long weekend(April 28th, 29th and 1st of May), I went to Briscon2017. It was my first epic tournament and I must say a wonderfully run Tournament too. We have 10 player turn up. The ranking etc. can be access from here https://tabletop.to/briscon-2017/ladder Over all I pretty happy to come in third…So learn plenty and I’m looking forward to next year.. So first off well done to following: 1st place – Jim 2nd place –Lucas Best painted army was won by Paul and his feral orks I promise atension that I take the Sautekh Legion list to the tournament and give him some reports and some feedback. This is fantastic! Extra points for the opponent comment cards included in some of the tourney games. Looks like the list performed admirably. |

Thank for reading atension.. Sorry I didn’t hand out the feedback form to John Sutton TO, since I gather he was busy with tournament and Jim XII (Jim Wallace)…I have sent email to both to get their feedback or they will leave in this thread, since I also said they could leave it here….Either way I will update the batreps… I was to change anything with the list I took, I would have tried to get some ground base AA in, since in game 2 and 5, I feel I was on the back foot because number of a AC the opponents had and that I could not be too aggressive with my stuff since part of the game plan was to use the portals on them….Also I face a lot of higher SR armies, 3 SM, Speed freek and DE and out all the turns in the games I played, I only manage win about 3 SR rolls I think.. Over all, the list went well… Ok let break down units/formations… TESSERACT VAULT: This formation was magnet for fire, in most case I was using it aggressively and placed it in places where it would do just that…It didn’t kill a great deal, but the amount of points that opponents would allocated to getting rid of it along with the Warbargue….Well that was amazing, games 4 and 5, both opponents allocated over 1200 points to kill 600…I think the cost is about right. That point of view could change after more games but, we will see. Allowing one in the army seem also to make sure it can’t be abused….I guess facing lower SR armies may have given different results since it would have killed more.. Also the stats line for this unit has changed since its said “or” in version 1.1 and if you check version 1.0 it does not have “or” between the two weapons. Otherwise you take the TK weapon each time and the MW shoot would not be used….(Yes rise by a player at start of the game, since he ask which weapon I was using) NIGHT SCYTHES: After these five games, I think these babies need to go up in points say 200 points. Also, I had one player say it could use one or the other weapons, since it since it said “or” in it stats lines, and not “and”. I explain why would take them if you only could use one or the other....I explain that I either do AA with them or GA, if I use the portal I can’t shoot….checking older list, you don’t get that problem since the portals is in the note section…So this will need to be cleared up and I guest using the word “and” might be better.. Doomsday Ark: Well these guys did some good stuff, when they were not broken…So the points feel about right. They took lot of fire in turn one in some games since well they were the only formations on the board….As I said early with some Ground Base AA, they may have live longer in some games and done more damage.. Tomb Blade: These guys did well, when used through portals and that 50cm threat range is can be big advantage. As I said one of my reports, chose right target and engage, if you lose not much of points sink….My gut feeling is 225 points, although some of the guys I faced, thought they were fine as is… I will leave it there before the post get much longer; anyways the above is my point of view.
