This was my second game in the Harbor City Siege Tournament that happened last weekend in Gothenburg, Sweden. My opponent was fellow forum member Karegak and his brittle little space fairies. Hopefully he can provide some insights to how it felt to meet the list.

Setup was again me placing both my blitz and both T&H objectives on one extreme flank, 30cm apart, just above the midline. My opponent placed his on the opposite flank far away from mine. The left most of my T&H objectives was transformed into a wraithgate.

I deployed most of my army on "my" flank except for the Killa kanz and 1 supa-stompa. My opponent garrisoned some rangers in front of my objectives and then set the rest of the army up on the right flank and center of the board.

I roll a whooping 12 shields for my great gargant!

TURN 1: Eldar wins initiative.

E: Nightwings go on CAP:
G: Supa-stompa on right flank doubles forward and fires on rangers for 2BM.
E: Rangers on left flank marches.
G: Great Gargant doubles forward on thr right flank and fires on rangers killing 1, breaking the formation.
E: Fire Prisms on right flank advances and fires on great gargant stripping 2 shields (2BM).
G: Supa-stompa on right flank doubles forward and fires on broken rangers killing 2 due to BM:s.
E: Falcons in middle doubles forwardand fires on Great Gargant stripping 2 shields (1BM).
G: Supa-stompa in middle advances forward and fires on falcons killing 1 falcon and 1 firestorm breaking the formation.
E: Fire Prisms on left flank holds and regroups.
G: Fighta-bombers ground attack Fire Prisms. Nightwings intercepts. 1 Nightwing gets shot down by defensive Flak from Fighta-bombers. 3 bombers are lost even though the pilots decide to Jink.
E: Falcons on left flank doubles forward.
G: Killa Kanz in middle doubles towards left flank and fires on Falcons for 1BM.
E: Guardians on left flank doubles.
G: Fighta-Bombers ground attacks falcons on left flank loosing 1 plane in the process. 1 falcon is destroyed (2BM).
E: guardians on right flank doubles forward into forest.
G: Gargant doubles up on a hill. Wants a better view of the carnage to come.
E: BTS-Aspect warriors in middle doubles right in front of the Great Gargant and fires on it for 1BM. What is this?
E: Aha! Aspect warriors in webway engages the great gargant and gets support by the mounted aspect! The combat goes on for 2 rounds. The aspect warriors are wiped out completly but the great gargant looses all it's shields and takes 6DC of damage (no crits) (7BM). The crew of the Gargant are very happy they desided to move into a better place to view the battle in front of them!

END PHASE:

Falcons rallies.
Rangers fail to rally.

The Avatar appears right in front of the Great Gargant!

Turn 2: Gargants win initiative (Yaaaay!!)

G: Supa-stompa on right flank doubles in front of mounted aspect warriors and fires on them. 1 Wave serpent and 2 stands of dark reapers dies (5BM).
G: The crew of the gargant decides they want in on the action and retains the initiative. They uses the "push em" rule and engages the mounted aspect warriors, also intermingling the Avatar. With the support of the Great Gargant and the Supa-stompa the Gargant manages to wipe out the mounted aspects completly for the loss of all it's shields. The BTS objective is claimed. Gork and Mork are very pleased.
E: Guardians on right flank advances and fires on Great gargant doing 2DC of damage (3BM).
E: Fire Prisms retains, advances, and fires on Great Gargant for 1BM.
G: Killa Kanz engages falcons. They loose 1 Kan but manages to win the combat.
E: Fire Prisms on left flank doubles and fires on killa kanz for 1BM.
G: Fighta-Bombers ground attacks guardians in forest on right flank for 1BM.
E: Falcons in middle doubles to left flank and fires on killa kanz for 1BM.
G: Great Gagant engages guardians in front of it wiping them out for no losses.
E: Rangers in middle forest go on OW.
G: Fighta-bomber stands down.
E: Nightwings stand down.
G: Supa-stompa in middle doubles into forest and fires on guardians killing 1 stand (3BM).
E: Guardians holds and regroups.

END PHASE:

Fire on Gargant gets extinguished.
Falcons fail to rally.
Lone ranger (ha!) fails to rally.

TURN 3: Eldar wins Initiative.

G: Supa-Stompa in forest advances to contest T&H objective. It fires on the falcons killing 1 falcon and 1 firestorm, breaking the formation.
E: Guardians on left flank marches.
G: Lone Fighta-bomber ground attacks Fire Prisms but get shot down.
E: Fire Prisms sustains on Supa Stompa stripping 1 shield.
G: Fighta-bombers ground attacks Fire Prisms by Eldar Blitz. 1 plane is shot down by defensive AA but then 1 prisms dies and the formation breaks.
G: Supa-stompa on right flank uses "push em" rule to double and fires on broken fire prisms wiping them out.
G: Gargant uses "push em" rule and marches to caim the Eldar Blitz.

Gargants win 3-0 (Blitz, BTS and T&H) in Turn 3.

My thoughts:

This was Karegaks first battle ever with Eldar. The list was a little bit unusual from other Biel-Tan lists I've faced with no air assaulting aspects, Void Spinners or Revenant titans.
Karegak did a big gamble with the Turn 1 assault on my Great Gargant. I would lie If i didn't say that i spurred him on. Both of us where giggling over the "epicness" of the assault which was great! Me winning the initiative on turn 2 kinda sealed his fate as i could wipe his BTS out of existence and claim the wholw right flank by doing so.
It was very close though and if he would have won the initiative and then charged me with the Avatar (which was his plan) I would have probably lost my Great Gargant.

But again i felt that keeping my forces close together and using them to support each other i was unstoppable from rolling over the table wrecking havoc. And again i only needed 1 unit to contest 1 of Karegaks objectives to deny him T&H. And a supa-stompa hiding in a forest does that very well.

I will give my thoughts on the list in the development thread. Hopefully Karegak will share his own thoughts also.
