managed a game versus steve54 and his Biel-Tan list

I took

Retinue - warlord, pact, obliterator
Retinue - rhinos, pact
Retinue - rhinos, pact
Terminators
chosen - pods, pact
chosen - rhinos, pact
strike cruiser
thunderhawk
thunderhawk
hellblades
helltalons
+3 lesser daemons (8 total)

Steve took:

Aspects - Autarch, FD exarch, 2x FD, 2x DR, 4x DA
Aspects - 2x FD exarch, 2xFD, 2x DR, 4x DA
Guardians - 1 scatter laser
falcons - 2 firestorms
falcons - 2 firestorms
falcons - 2 firestorms
rangers - 1 extra stand

I won the dice off for spaceship and picked turn

Setup:

Turn 1

RC win strategy roll, spaceship activates, barrage kills 3 falcons and hits the void spinner placing a blast marker, drop pod places second blast marker on void spinner, chosen summon daemons and engage falcons, wiping them out for no losses, void spinner breaks from blast markers. Second void spinner sustains on retinue killing a few stands and placing 5 blast markers, hellblades CAP, eldar fail multiple activations, hell talons CAP, chaos advance both vampires stand down, thunderhawk terminators land and shoot and destroy a single broken falcon

Turn 2

Eldar win strategy roll, spaceship hits retinue and kills a chunk of stuff, void spinner retains and breaks it, chosen summon daemons and engage rangers, breaking them, few more bits of maneuvring, vampire with BTS engages chosen, reduces to 2 stands, hellblades CAP avoiding all flak but score a single hit :( second vampire hits pod chosen and wipes them out. Terminators go all out and hit eldar BTS, thunderhawk destroyed by support fire but termies win and wipe BTS out, helltalons hit second aspect formation and reduce to single stand, EVERY sodding broken RC formation fails to rally >:(

Turn 3

RC win strategy roll, void spinners hurt/break more stuff, guardians march to contest T&H in my half, helltalon and thunderhawk stand down, vampire fails to activate, RC BTS string out to hold blitz and T&H

Turn 4

Hellblades kill 5 stands of guardians and break them, vampire lands to contest T&H, void spinner marches to also contest, thunderhawk engages void spinner hoping to break vampire into the bargain, but after two rounds loses and is destroyed

game ends 1-0 with a points victory to RC

Thoughts:

RC felt pretty balanced, the lack of any warhound equivalents to capitalise on the orbital strike is balanced by the podding chosen summoning daemons, the lower activation count hurts a bit in the late game, but the list overall felt competetive without being overpowered, you really have to rely on your aircraft to hit the other side of the table which is nice and thematic in my view

I'm sure steve has some opinions also
