Interesting read. The comments on why particular activations were made (or attempted) definitely help.
I also note that the game was close enough for the "1"s to matter . . .
(glad you have seen the light ;D )

Do you even need to make a dangerous terrain test for those 5 bikes you lost? As they Didn't "start" the move or finish it in Dangerous terrain since they went from off board to in the clear in one move?

Yip that is true, but under the Skimmers section is also denotes " They may not end a move on impassable terrain, and if they START or END a move in dangerous terrain they must take a dangerous terrain test."

I would assume being s special rule pertaining to skimmer this one takes priority?

Interesting situation.

My call on this; The Wraith Gate is usually on the ground*** either because it is a portal or because the EoV ended its turn on the ground, so the jetbikes enter the battlefield on the ground. As such they must pass through Dangerous Terrain, even if they declare themselves to be 'popped up' and so must take a DTT for entering the terrain.

*** IMHO If the Storm Serpent had declared itself to be popped up on OW, then it could be airborne over the dangerous terrain meaning that the bikes did not enter the terrain - but this would also exclude infantry using the 'gate.
