Interesting report as usual. I note the IG had two Rough Riders, personally I would have taken a Hydra battery which might have delayed the preemptive air assault. . .

On the changes, I am intrigued by the Hornets formation size and upgrade cost, 275 for five seems a tad high.

Equally the upgrade of three bikes for 75 seems very low when the individual cost is ~35 each; 100 is possibly more appropriate.

Could you explain the thinking behind these changes.

Interesting battle, I'll admit that I would probably have been more aggressive with the Hornets.

For the IG not worrying about templates I would have packed the Deathstrikes, artillery and Vultures under as much AAA as possible with the Vampire Raiders.

Regarding these, I have found them to hit & miss over the years. Generally game winners at home and pants at tournaments, but that's life.

One of the inherent weaknesses of the S-H list is where take your BTS. I have in the past and will do again in the future take Revenants as my S-H BTS for Fearless, so I'll be interested to see how your testing leads you.

hi,

sorry to ask, but how did the hornets manage to destroy the infantry in the regemental hq in your report (1st turn, second eldar retain). as they just have AT weapons.. i wonder.. and also with 1 troupe of 4 hornets going on double orders causing so many casualities? or did i get something wrong? and how could they retain a second time when the farseer wasn't on the table yet?

The reg HQ infantry were in side the vehicles, not out side... I killed 3 AV and he need to make 6 saves at 6+ for the infantry, made only two. so 4 dead infantry units. Yep, could have only done it twice for the first turn and not three times, since there was no Farseer..I explain to my opponent that I had done three when I could only done two activation due to the farseer beginning off the table. He was happy to let go that way and yes I went through all the options if he left it that way..good and the bad. So we played on and keep the game flowing so to speak..In the end I don't think effected the game that much and at the end, he said the same.. I didn't add any notes to the game to say that it had happen and that it was talked about with my opponent..


ah, they were embarked. ok. thanks. that explains it. although i wonder why i would start embarked when within range of the enemy and on lower strategy value.
