Even more interesting, it looks like Space Marines are having a really difficult time against the Iyanden.

I do still worry about the number of activations the Iyanden can generate though.

Could you explain further Tim, as I thought allowing the 1:2 ratio made the list very close to balanced.

In the above report there a potential of 12 Iyanden activations (13 if you include the Avatar). What I am slightly concerned about is the relatively high activation count with the Fearless Wraiths. I admit that it is probably countered by the reduced size of the Wraithguard/blade formations, but feel that I need some more games under my belt with this list to feel more happy.

Ok, I understand the concern in that sense, but this number of formations can only be achieved using Wraith Blades, which really need a delivery mechanism to be usefull (Vampires or Storm Serpents to keep the numbers up) and they are really only a one shot weapon both because of their size and the lack of FF capability.

Personally I prefer to add 1-2 WBs to a WG formation to improve resilience (which reduces the option to using a Storm Serpent) and if you work through some trial lists you will find that you struggle to make more than 11 formations.

However, the new 1:2 ratio together with the various upgrades does allow you choices, though none of them seem excessively OTT in my experience (though YVMD)
