Nice report. Given the way that the game panned out, the Iyanden list is starting to look fairly balanced. As such I do agree with the conclusions that 1:2 is the way to go, and that the animated construct rule is superfluous. I am still a little ambivalent over the Wraith Blades for the reasons cited.
However the game showed the strength of air assaults on both sides, but failed to use any of the conventional defences. The initial deployment on both sides was very open and isolated, which basically offered up these formations to the deep strike air-assaults and basically turned into a tit-for-tat slug fest.
In these circumstances I tend to 'castle up' using scout formations to screen more valuable formations. The intention is to give my formations time to carry out my plan while formations move in mutual support of each other to resist being destroyed in isolation.
Perhaps you could try a rematch, trying to prevent the enemy air-assaults.
