Turn 1:
The Mekboys fire up the power generators:
Great Gargant: 12 shields
Gargant: 8 shields
Supa Stompa (mega choppa): 4 shields
Supa Stompa: 3 shields
Orks win the initiative.
O: Gargant doubles forward down the Ork right flank & fires it's Death Kannon at the Whirlwinds killing one.
M: Bike detachment marches down the Marine right flank tucking in neatly behind some ruins.
O: The triple soopagun Supa Stompa doubles up behind the Gargant.
M: Whirlwinds sustain fire at the Gargant. No shields lost or damage taken.
O: Stompa mob sat on the Ork blitz goes onto overwatch.
M: Thunderhawk makes a fly-by shooting attack at the Gargant. No shields lost or damage taken.
O: Great Gargant doubles forward & fires one of it's Grot Guided Missiles at the Land Raider formation killing one.
M: Land Raiders double to centre just behind the peak of the hill.
O: Fighta-Bombas attack the Bike formation but do nothing.
M: Devastator detachment marches forward onto a Marine objective in some ruins in the Ork half of the board. Two Razorbacks and the Hunter destroy themselves entering the ruins on the final move.
End phase: Everyone removes some blast markers except the Land Raiders who keep thiers.
Turn 2:
Terminators teleport onto the field behind the Great Gargant taking no damage.
Marines win the initiative.
M: Thunderhawk ground assaults the Great Gargant (Wyrdboy Tower flaks but no hit) with the Tactical detachment disembarking leaving both Dreadnoughts & the Captain in b2b with the rest fire fighting. Supporting fire coming in from Terminators, Thunderhawk, Devastators supporting fire. All shields go down & Great Gargant takes 3 wounds with no critical hits. Great Gargant attacks only down to tactical stands. Great Gargant breaks but chooses to stay in place.
M: Retain initiative & the Terminators engage the Great Gargant drawing supporting fire from Tacticals, Thunderhawk, Devastators. Marines manage to do 2 wounds to the Great Gargant with one critical hit. The Great Gargant fights back wiping out the Terminators and winning the combat.
O: Supa Stompa engages the Tactical detachment next to the Great Gargant. It does nothing & loses all it's shields & takes a wound and a critical hit in return. Supa Stompa is broken but chooses not to withdraw.
M: Devastators engage in firefight with the broken Supa Stompa with support from the Thunderhawk & remainders of the Tactical detachment. The Supa Stompa take one wound but wins the combat forcing the Devastators to withdraw.
O: Stompas go onto overwatch on the Ork blitz.
M: Land Raiders move & shoot the broken Supa Stompa doing another wound & critical hit.
O: Fighta-Bombas come on to shoot Land Raiders but they make all their saves.
M: Bikes engage the broken Supa Stompa with support from the Thunderhawk and Land Raiders. This round ends in a draw. Second round of the engagement finished off the Supa Stompa taking a Biker with it.
M: Whirlwinds sustain fire at the Gargant dropping 3 shields.
O: Gargant marches to hold both objectives in the Marine half of the board.
M: The Tactical detachment on the right flank moves & shoots the Gargant with no effect.
End Phase:
Devastators rally.
Bikes, Land Raiders and Tacticals remove blast markers.
Great Gargant takes a wound from being on fire & fails to rally.
Gargant removes 3 blast markers
Thunderhawk gets flakked by flakwagon on exit but no hits.
Turn 3:
Marines win the initiative.
M: Bikes engage the Great Gargant with support from the remaining Tacticals & Devastators. Great Gargant takes 2 wounds but wipes out the Bikes.
M: Land Raiders engage the Great Gargant with support from Tacticals & Devastators. The Great Gargant takes another 2 wounds & another fire starts. Great Gargant kills a Land Raider & 2 Vindicators in return forcing the rest of the Land Raider detachment to withdraw.
O: Fighta-Bombas are given engage orders on the Whirlwinds but fail & stand down.
M: Whirlwinds double & move towards the Marine objective on the Ork's right flank pot shotting the Supa Stompa dropping a single shield.
M: Tactical detachment marches in a loop behind the Gargant & Supa Stompa avoiding terrain moving toward the Whirlwinds & the objective.
O: Stompas double into a defensive ring around the blitz.
M: Devastators sustain fire at the Great Gargant doing no damage.
M: Tactical detachment engage the knackered Great Gargant with supporting fire from the remaining Devastators. The Great Gargant finally falls but not before killing the Captain, the remaining Dreadnought and a Tactical stand. The lone Tactical stand consildates.
O: Gargant marches forward onto Marine blitz.
M: Thunderhawk shoots Supa Stompa to take another shield.
End phase: Land Raiders rally.
Game is 2 all draw so we go to turn 4.
Turn 4:
Marines win the initiative.
M: Land Raiders double towards the Ork right flank shooting the Supa Stompa which loses the last of it's shields.
M: The Tactical detachment sustains at the Supa Stompa doing a point of damage. The Supa Stompa breaks but chooses not to withdraw.
O: The Fighta-Bombas fly on & destroy the last two Land Raiders.
O: The Gargant waddles around to create a line of fire while still holding the blitz & the Death Kannon takes out the Hunter from the Tactical detachment.
M: The Whirlwinds double up to contest one of the Ork objectives in case the Supa Stompa rallies. They shoot the Supa Stompa doing no damage.
O: Stompas overwatch.
M: Thunderhawk lands next to the Marine blitz contesting.
End of turn 4 the Marines win 2:0
