Nice again.

Just a tought (again): why the hell AMTL walks around without AA/Tbolts? :)
They are very vulnerable to air assault (as it happened here) -every time, you meet SM, Tau, Eldar (AA is more important, since they have good aircraft), etc.

Recently in a tournament AMTL army, I met 3 Tbolt formations, as activation booster..

He takes Carapace Multi-lasers instead of Tbolts. Grants an AA bubble around the battle titans to tag air assaults.

Thanks for the report. How are you feeling about the damage a Cobra can do? I'll be honest and say that I'm not sure I'd try for a Warlord unless I was playing 3 cobras in a game. It would be a march to look to sustain fire the next turn. However you are very vulnerable doing this.

The strategy roll is the killer, which is why you really have to move the Cobras into cover and better still, try to find locations that they can 'ambush' the target titan. Putting the Cobra into cover makes it slightly harder to hit so hopefully it will survive longer.

The alternative is to put them on OW in cover to start with where they become an area-denial unit. Few formations will move within 30cm of a single Cobra on OW and two separate units will scare off titans as well . . .

However, the SR and need to move into point-blank range of a target always makes the Cobra a risky proposition against most armies, so you need to have redundancy as PFE100 says. At 3K this in turn means the army tends to be built around the use of the Cobras, and these are not really optimal compared with many other formations. Consequently I have another *very* tentative suggestion which I will present on the Eldar thread.
