20 Epic Photos from War in the 41st Millennium Here are some photographs from the recent War in the 41st Millennium tournament held here in Western Australia. Results are in the post below, but I know some people just want to see the pretty pictures Olly's TITAN LEGION. Plasma Destructors and Volcano Cannons cover the field. In the distance an Eldar titan feels badly outnumbered and desperately outgunned. The Eldar light-tank formations The Eldar Phantom managed to hide behind a large building, forcing the titan legion to flank around it Another Titan comes in from the other side. Space Wolf armour. The Wolves clash with MisterBruce's terminator formation Landspeeders from what is soon to be an amazing looking Marine army. Jason's Gargants. Dice track their shields and hull points; these metal beasts do not die easy. Bad A$$. A Gargant clashes with Steve's Iron Warrior defilers Having drawn on objectives, the Orks managed to sneak a victory by 8.5 points (out of 3000!) over the Iron Warriors. Black Templars defend a manufacturing complex More Ork titans. Everyone agreed - they need more guns and arms. Doobleg running the Death Korps AT-AT Warhound and Shadowsword Orks dragged the Death Korps infantry into massive combats that left huge amounts of guardsmen and gorgon transports destroyed. Doobleg would still somehow manage to pull a victory from the jaws of defeat. Duro's Space Marines Orks fight Eldar Shining Spears Second place for best painted went to this terrific Titan legion. First place to Steve's Iron Warriors. Iron Within, Iron Without - this army will have its revenge. Eldar on display

[center]War in the 41st Millennium - Tournament Results Grand Champion - Jason: Ork Gargants Best General - Liam: Space Marines Best New General - Gregg: Death Korps of Krieg Best Army - Steve [/center] Note that the players were split into two streams, both of which were random in round 1 and seeded in round 2 and 3. I think this worked well for a tournament designed to encourage new players (half the players were brand new and at their first Epic tournament - which is brilliant!), and it lead to some very close games. In fact there was only a single blow out 5-0 win during the day, and several games went to round 4 and victory-point tie breakers. There were some great looking armies on display, with the Best Army trophy being awarded to Steve with the tiniest of margins over Olly's brand new Titan Legion (19 vs 18 'Favourite' votes). The games looked good, it sounded like everyone had a great time, and my only regret was not being able to play in each of the 18 matches personally

Were those void shield and structure point dice holders/counters for the Reavers from Dystopian Wars? Brilliant idea btw.

I found a few more pics that I thought I'd share. Space wolves head into the Valley of the Shadow of Death AMTL Titans the moment before ork deathstrikes started to fall on them. Fighting back to back. Shadowswords cover the approaches to a ruined city Krieg prepare for assault behind a screen of rough riders and warhounds. The Krieg take more casualties than there are enemies, but sheer numbers carry the day. The Iron Warrior ordinatus falls to enemy terminators. Predators attempt to outflank enemy defilers.
