So, took the knights out once again. Thjis time it was against my arch nemesis Uvenlord and his Biel-Tan Eldar.

TURN 1: Eldar wins Initiative.

E: nightwings go on CAP:
K: Artillery sustains on Scorpion in middle for 1BM.
E: Revenants double thru city on left flank and fires on errants for 1BM.
K: Marauders try to ground attack revenants but are intercepted and shot down by the nightwings.
E: Scorpion on left flank doubles thru city and fires on errants for 1BM.
K: Errants on left flank advances and fires on revenants for 1BM.
E: Aspect warriors on left flank marches thru city into a building.
K: AA-guns doubles forward.
E: fire prisms doubles to left flank and fires on errants for 2DC (3BM).
K: rough riders marches behind large hill.
E: Scouts on by large hill advances and fires on rough riders killing 1 (2BM).
K: Thunderbolts ground attacks scorpion in middle for 1BM.
E: scorpion in middle holds, even with the help of the SC, and breaks.
K: BTS-Lancers double towards the middle and fires on scouts for 1BM.
E: guardians by eldar blitz goes on OW.
K: Paladins doubls towards middle and fires on scouts for 1BM (toughest scouts i've ever seen!).
E: falcons on right flank holds and moves around a little (1BM).
K: Paladins on right flank engages scouts and wipes them out for no losses (finally!).
K: Lancers in middle doubles around big hill and fires on broken scorpion destroying it.

END PHASE:
1 thunderbolt is shot down by firestorm AA while exiting the board (2BM).

Eldar teleports in swooping hawks near Knights blitz, they get 2BM.

TURN 2: Eldar wins initiative.

E:Swooping hawks engages artillery by knights blitz (with the help of their SC). They wipe the howitzers out for no losses.
E: Revenants tries to retain, holds, and fires on errants for 1DC (2BM).
K: errants hold, even with the help of their SC, and regroups shedding all of their BM:s.
E: falcons on right flank advances a little to get out of lancer engagement range. they then fire on the lancers doing 3DC killing 1 knight (4BM).
K: Lancers marshalls, clearing all BM:s, and moves forward.
E: Scorpion in city holds and moves forward (1BM).
K: BTS-lancers advances forward around building and fires on fire prisms destroying 2 and breaks the formation.
E: aspect warriors in city doubles in front of errants.
K: paladins on right flank advances and fires on falcons killing 1 (2BM).
E: nightwings ground atatck BTS-lancers and destroys 1 knight with a critical hit (3BM).
K: AA-guns doubles back towards the knight blitz.
E: guardians by eldar blitz holds and regroups.

TURN 3: knights win initiative.

K: paldins in middle advances towards swooping hwks and fires on them killing 1 stand (2BM).
K: errants retain and engages swooping hawks. The wipe out the puny space fairies for no losses.
E: aspect warriors doubles into support range on errants and fires on them for 1BM.
E: scorpion retainsand fires on errants, claiming crossfire to aspect warriors, for 1BM.
K: paladins on right flank engages falcons and wipes them out for no losses.
K: BTS-lancers retain and doubles to the knight blitz. They then fire at the scorpion, claiming crossfire to paladins, doing 1DC and breaks the formation.
E: fire prisms doubles and fires on BTS-lancers killing 1 knight (3BM).
K: AA guns doubles to knight blitz.
E: nightwings ground attacks BTS-lancers for 1BM breaking the formation.
K: rough riders doubles and spreads out to claim the T&H objective
E: revenants doubles towards knight blitz and fires on BTS-lancers wiping them out and thu claiming the BTS objective.

E: fire prisms retain, advances, and fires on paladins destroying 2 and breaks the formation.
E: aspect warriors triple retain and engages errants wiping them out for the loss of 1 striking scorpion stand (ouch!).
K; Paladins in middle engages scorpion and destroys it for no losses.
E: nightwings stand down.
K: thunderbolts ground attacks guardians by eldar blitz for 1BM.
K: AA-guns advances and fires on falcons destroying 1 and breaks the formation.

my thoughts on this:

Well, uvenlord is a much better player than me. He always kick my ass and i think my win - loss records to him is like 3-20. It was a even match though but much of that was down to him rolling a gazillion 1:s for activation rolls. I think he would have won by turn 3 taking the blitz and T&H objective also.
My big mistake was getting greedy and going after his falcons on the right flank instead of marching to his blitz earlier. his guardians there would have died horribly if I*d engaged them.

Fun game never the less and Knights felt as usual. Deadly in engagements and fragile when getting engaged. Can't think of much else at the moment. will post pictures tomorrow! (this tie i didn't delete tjem ogff my camera like with the titan ones).

Thanks for the report. I was interested in how the Aspects would play with out transport to get them into range early on.

Well another strange but fun game...

I think I had some luck in that Mordoten didn't do a frontal assault. Next time I will borrow his knights and just rush forward, 25-30 cm move, 2DC and RA on everyone is very fearsome.
I kind of fired everything I got on one unit in the first turn and only managed to make some damage spread out between the different knights so no losses and rolled badly on activations so at the end of turn 2 I was ready to give up. Then came turn 3 and I managed to hinder the knights from scoring and placed my Eldar for a final turn 4 all out rolling assault that I got away with :)

On a whole the Knights looks very good on paper but we played hide and seek so I didn't really feel they got to do what they are built to do. Engage. And this time they didn't field the Castellans so they did't hit that hard when firing.
I'm a little skeptical that they get to take cheap units to boost their activations (small AA formations, rough riders, thunderbolts...) Other big bad lists usually have a limitation in numbers.

Thanks for the game, looking forward to take a rematch on Sunday perhaps :)

Unless mounted in a webway or a Vampire they wont be assaulting anything on turn 1 anyhow so I thought they could counter assault the knights that I thought would come rushing towards me on foot (and save some money on the wheels) Didn't happen so they had to run instead :)
