Haven't played any armies made up out of any non-approved lists in a while. But i felt it was time to take the knights out for a spin. The battle was going to be fought over an industrial area which was built up using my modular tiles.

TURN 1: Knights win Initiative

K: thunderbolts go on CAP with the help of the SC.
SM: thunderbolts go on CAP
K: Artillery holds and regroups.
SM: scouts doubles forward.
K: artillery holds (AAAARRGGHH!)
SM: Predators doubles on left flank.
K: Marauders ground attack predator on left flank. thunderbolts intercept (1BM). 2 predators are destroyed and the formation breaks.
SM: tacticals advances forward.
K: thunderbolts intercepts thunderbolts. hunter flak shoots 1 down when the formation tries to jink out of the way.
SM: warhound marches forward in the center.
K: Paladins on left flank holds and moves forward.
SM: warhound on left flank doubles and fires on paladins for 1BM.
K: errants by Knight blitz goes on OW.
SM: land speeders advance on left flank and fires on paladins for 1BM.
K: paladins in middle doubles and fires on warhound for 1BM.
K: lancers (BTS) doubles up around the factory and fires on warhound, stripping 1 shield (1BM).
K: lancers marches up behind BTS-lancers.

END PHASE:

predators rally.

TURN 2: Knights win Initiative.

K: BTS-lancers goes on OW.
K: paladins retain and engages the warhound. Paladins wins the combat for the loss of 1 knight. the warhound flees with 1 DC left back to the SM-blitz.
SM: land speeders sustain on paladins for 1DC (1BM).
SM: warhound retains, holds, and fires on paladins for 1BM.
K: artillery sustains on scouts killing 1 stand (1BM).
SM: thunderbolts stand down, even with the help of the SC.
K: artillery sustains on tacticals killing 2 stands and 1 rhino (4BM).
SM: tacticals holds and regroups shedding 3BM:s.
K: Marauders ground attack land speeders killing 1 (3BM).
SM: scouts marshall and removes 2BM and move scloser to lancers.
K: paladins on left flank engages land speeders. 1 land speeders and 2 knights dies. paladins win the combat but breaks due to BM:s,
SM: predators advance around building and fires on broken paladins killing 1 knight.
K: thunderbolts ground attack scouts killing 1 rhino.
K: lancers retain and engages the scouts. the scouts are wiped out for no losses.

END PHASE:

warhound rallies
paladins fail to rally
land speeders fail to rally

TURN 3: Marines win initiative.

SM: warhound advances and fires n errants killing 1 knight (3BM).
SM: predators retain and advances. they fire on artillery by Knight blitz and destroys 1 (2BM).
K: artillery sustains on tacticals killing 1 stand (2BM)
K: lancers retains and engages tacticals. They win the combat, killing all but 2 stands and 1 rhino, for the loss of 2 knights (3BM).
SM: thunderbolts ground atatck errants for 1BM and the formation breaks.
K: Paladins in middle of the board by toxic waste pool goes on OW.
SM: warhound by SM-blitz advances to block the way to the blitz and fires on lancers in front of it. 1 lancer is destroyed and the formation breaks.
K: marauders ground attack broken land speeders and wipes out the formation.
SM: thunderhawk full with terminators ground assaults BTS-Lancers in middle of the board. Thunderbolts intercept and does 1DC on the thunderhawk. OW-fire from the lancers kills 1 stand of terminators. The lancers wipe out the assaulting formation for the loss of 2 knights. the lancers breaks and flees towards the left a little.
K: artillery sustains on broken tacticals by SM blitz.
SM: 2nd thunderhawk filled with terminators ground assaults broekn lancers in middle. They wipe out the knights for no losses. OW-fire from paladins does 1BM to the terminators when they consolidates towards the objective and claims the T&H objective.
K: thunderbolts stand down.

END PHASE:

artillery fails to rally
paladin fails to rally
errant rallies
BTS-lancers fails to rally
Tacticals rally

The marines win 2 - 0 (T&H and TSNP)

a very even game. I was not expecting it to end in the 3rd round. but since the BTS-lancers refused to rally i lost. My opponent was very calm and waited to the exact last moment to bring in the cavalery (or tactical dreadnought armours).

i enjoyed this alot. As usual i felt that an agressive playstyle is needed to be able to win with the knights. All formations felt good. Nothing struck me as under- or overpowered. Can't really add much new thoughts. i think this list is ready for approved!

Thanks for the report. The Marine player showed some serious restraint, not sending in the Terminators until the final activations of the game.

And, the raised city looks really fun to play in.

Yeah, i asked him why he waited so long and he said that he wanted to make sure the lancers where as weakened as possible before assaulting them.

We both kinda agree that there was an inevitable showdown between the terminators and lancers. Kings of the assault action!

Hi thanks for the report. I'm interested in the terrain, we normally try to have some cover in the deployment zones and can you answer if the raised central terrain blocked line of sight or not.

Plus kudos to the marine player on holding back the terminators for so long.

Yes the raised levels blocked LoS for everything. No unit could stand in their deployment zone and shoot direct fire at units in the other deployment zone.
