Thanks for the report. So the Iron Warriors won on points count back? Question, you brought the WS Predators into an Engage made by the WS Scouts against the IW Terminators in turn 2. To drag a second formation in you need to be able to counter charge into base to base (BtB) contact. I think that the Predators should have been left alone, unless there were two rounds of combat? (Counter charge into Predator zone of control followed by counter charge into BtB.) When we use barrage templates we play that you have to cover as much of the target formation as possible. So when the WS Marauders targeted the Armoured Company and clipped the Infantry Company, in our games, the template would have been forced over the remaining Armoured Company units. In turn 3, you make the comment “Landspeeder unit is close enough to have IW called intermingled.” Does this mean that the Landspeeders were drawn directly into the combat and not just providing supporting fire? Again as with the first question, we play things differently as only the engaging player can call enemy formations engaged & to bring a supporting formation directly into the combat you have to get into base to base (BtB) contact. |

Thanks for the response Quote: 6.1.7 Victory Conditions (My emphasis) You must check to see if either player has won at the end of the third and fourth game turns. If neither player has won at the end of the fourth turn then the ‘tiebreaker’ rule is used to determine the winner. Each player is trying to achieve five things known as goals. You win if you have achieved two of these goals in the end phase of turns three or four, and you have achieved more goals than your opponent. & on the Predator side , I was confused with the follow up photograph showing a BM on the engaging scouts and one on the Predators (with a missing/destroyed Predator). Thanks again T-T |

Well I preferred the Wiki days where I'd post a report and just point people to the photos. I'll have to see how I get on tonight as it's been a few years since I last posted a Battle Report on TC. |
