We both liked the list structure of the new Black Legion (Armoured Co in Core, Decimator in War Engines, Free Daemons from pacts).
He was frustrated by the Genestealer screen; I think it was a tactical mistake not to bite the bullet and get rid of it once and for all (Hellblades would probably have done a good job of it).
I don't think he felt the list was unbalanced, though; The deciding factor in the game was the strategy roll for turn 2; Much would have looked different if the Daemon Prince had been allowed to do his thing.

A critical (+1 damage) with a critical effect roll of 6 (+1 damage again). Ouchie. Still better than my AMTL Titans - they tend to detonate as soon as they take a single hit
I think he would have been better served killing the 'phant rather than taking out the Lictors. They served their purpose, certainly, providing a distraction.
