Sunday, 22nd September we got together to play a day-long mega battle of Epic Armageddon. Each player brought a legal 3000pt army and we split into 2 teams - Imperials/Squats vs Chaos/Tau/Orks. We played for about 6hrs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 3 Mega-Gargants were destroyed during the game, along with many Imperial Super-Heavy tanks. The game ended on turn 3 with a slight victory to the Imperials – 1:0 (Break Their Spirit). Fun day as always! A BIG thanks again to Alistair, Chops, Connor, Duro, Joel, Julian & Matt! |

Great stuff Onyx. Were there any tears? Every time we end up doing a mega-battle someone's army gets flattened and they spend the rest of the game moving around a single Rhino or something. |

Those Titans! The Imperator! Excellent painting! ![]() The module streets are good aswell. Looks like this was quite a fun 6 hours of gaming. From gameplay perspective: Did you stick with tournament scenario divided into two tables? According to the 1:0 end in T3, with the only point scored by BTS, I guess you did. ![]() Have you considered Megageddon scenario for this large battle? |

I felt bad for the other Orc player who was down to 2 fighta bomma squadrons by the end of turn 2. The funniest moment of the day was Steve convincing his teammate to unload with his death strike missiles on my Mega Gargant, rolling more 6's than I've ever seen, and then realising there was a unit of tau scouts within 15mm that had to be the targets. They still ended up slaughtering all 3 mega gargants on our side including the BTS with his dreadnought lil' buddy. Thanks again for the fun game folks! Joel |

used the experimental Squat WE list (with Onyx's permission) and built a list designed to kill other WE...in actual fact the Imperials managed to build very game focused lists, ie kill enemy war engines...the bad guys didnt really do this so much... the Imperials actually managed to not bring one aircraft to the game whereas there was an abundance of ork fighta-bombas and red corsair aircraft...the Imperials obviously thought the air was a bit toxic as they only came in vehicles, not a single infantryman was present in their combined lists... the Squats set up as a single battle group with 3 Colossii (with 2 Iron Hawk spotters), 2 Cyclops and 2 Overlords...they stuck together until the last turn when they commenced breaking formation to move to positions to better destroy their enemies...the concentration of fire power proved too much for the opposition...they helped destroy 2 mega gargants (including finishing off the enemy BTS) and a great gargant plus adding to the demise of the some supa-stompas...although the formation was intermingled, the supporting firepower it provided was brutal when a broken Overlord was assaulted by a chaos marine company and their thunderhawk delivery system...the Colossus and Cyclops provided supporting fire and this was crucial in smashing the chaos scum....after that the baddies concentrated on less threatening targets... |
