It was a fun game. I think the battle was won the first turn when the two warhounds were hacked down... Next time you won't deploy your Warhounds so close together outside the AA umbrella ![]() |

Thanks for your report, very interesting but I'm a bit confused at the death of the reaver, if I read this right it had three hits remaining when the war walkers shot at it. Was there a crossfire bonus preventing the reaver from getting the reinforced armor saves? I'm also a bit confused what happened with the avatar, did he do anything or just put a bm on the reaver? |

Pretty shure the Reaver only had two wounds left when my Warwalkers shot him...The walkers have Lance on some of their weapons so they don't need crossfire to kill some petty titan ![]() The Avatar was a big failure as usual, he was to far away to do any harm so he just threw his spear in rage... |

Ok, thanks! Do you think that the AMTL player could have done something different or would you expect the same result if you played against the list again? |

As Uvenlors mentioned, i really messed up by putting both warhounds outside the AA umbrella. Them being close togehter meant that he could do really ggood assaults with his vampires full of guardians and aspects. Without the 2 warhounds i had no fast objective grabbers left. But one big problem was that he had so many activations and lots of them with the scout ability which meant he good block off a good portion of the battlefield and forcing me into assaults to be able to move forward. I´ve been thinking some about the list and have played around with some builds that might work against it. |

I don't think you had a whole lot of cover on the map, but always keeping titans in cover can help out a whole lot. The -1 to hit does more than you'd think to help them survive. |

Well for starters we usually do not tell each other wich army we will bring, just to avoid army-building that is really good at killing one type of army. I usually play Iyanden or Space Marines and if I would have brought any of these the outcome would have been different. Besides that I think it was unnessesary to have the Marauders in this build, having the artillery Titan would have been enough in my opinion... If we would play this battle again... -Protect the Warhounds better. I don't think he will deploy them together outside the AA umbrella when I have 2 Raiders next time ![]() -CAP. I think i was a misstake not to put the fighters on CAP when I had fully loaded Vampires. It was a big relief when the Titan shot the Falcons instead ![]() -Falcons. If he would have targeted my unhurt unit of falcons instead of attacking my BTS on the second turn he would have eliminated most of my AT capacity, the aspects were to far away to do any real damage that turn anyway...The falcons and their 15 AT shots were vital in destroying the reaver later that turn. Same thing about the warwalkers... Having laserburners effectivly cut me of from assaulting so targetting my AT units would have made a big difference. This game was won when the two warhounds fell before they got to activate, next time I will not be that lucky ![]() Overall the AMTL I have met seems balanced and fun. I can see ways of exploiting different weapons but they will need to know what they the are facing then and will be very weak if they meet the "wrong" crowd... Perhaps the laserburner is a little bit to strong against hordes, but nothing I can't live with ![]() |
