Hi,

Battle report from this monday, with 6K Adeptus Mechanicus defending against 2K Space Marines and an infinite number of IG in small boats (4K at a time...)

The scenario is a custom D-Day recreation.

There's a fluff Intro here:

And a BatRep with lots and lots of pictures here:

Enjoy!

Stunning batrep. Loved the beach terrain and the landing craft. Are the landing craft Old Crow? I was tempted by them when I was working. And 2 nicely painted armies fighting a huge battle- truly Epic!!

Thanks for sharing

Yes, the landing crafts and hoover crafts are from Old Crow. They have a perfect size. Perhaps they are a little low on details, but as they are not moved around alot you dont really notice during the game.

It was a fantastic game, and I reallly look forward to play the scenario again. It would be truly epic to have a IG vs IG version, and I have heard that a ork invasion fleet is closing.

wow, that was truly amazing. It felt both very atmospheric and also very realistic - pretty much exactly how you'd expect a combined air and sea assault to go. Reminded me a lot of the D-day landings. Just futuristic :)

Hey STM what list do you use that has the robots in it?

Adeptus Mechanicus Planetary Defense Force, version 2.02B (currently in playtest)

Hop over here to find it (and the lively debate over said robots).

Thanks! We put a lot of effort into making the scenario and the special rules as d-day-like and balanced as possible. Still it required some self-restrain when constructing the army lists.
