Got a backlog of batreps again, so here's one of four. This was the last game played with v0.3, with Jaldon's rule changes I'm calling the version 0.4. This was a tight game that saw the bugs win it in the 4th with a BTS and Blitz. A failed term assault on the BTS saw them wiped out which really helped out the bugs. Otherwise it would have went to points. Two swarms failed to come in on the third, so the bugs were definitely out maneuvered and had to take it to turn 4.

Start of Game Start of Game (Drink Dr. Pepper...) The Whirlwinds sustain on the stealers and lay a BM. The Dactylis return the favor on the Scouts and hit two times. Deathwinds take out a Dactylis. The Tacticals and Devastators land, breaking the stealers. A Swarm comes in and assaults the Devastators. Two Guarts and a Dread go down. Another round of combat ensues, 2 Devastators go down and the 'nids break with one Warrior survivig. A THawk shoots at the Warrior and kills it. The Harridan breaks the Devastators. The Scouts double up as do the Bikes, laying a BM on the Harridan. The Speeders double. The second unit of Speeders screen the Tacticals on foot, who doubled as well. Another unit of Tbolts straffe the Dactylis. The Tacticals double and take out two three.

Turn 2 Turn 2 The Lictors teleport in. The Terminators teleport in. The Terminators wipe out the Dactylis. The Lictors engage the Tacticals but don't kill anything... they die. The BTS comes in and engages the Tacticals. Three nids go down to a lot of Marines. The Tacticals break. The Harridan retains, fails and moves. The Land Speeders finish off the stealers. A Swarm comes in and engages the Devastators. One goes down, the other breaks. The Whirlwinds take out a Warrior and two guants. The Thawk straffes them and kills the last warrior, breaking them. The Tbolts straffe the BTS and kill the Tyrant. The Snipers lay a BM on the Harridan. The Bikes double. The Tactical double. The Trygons surface.

Turn 3 Turn 3 The Trygons engage the Whirlwinds. They eat them all up. The Land Speeders double back and lay a BM. The Harridan doubles and breaks the Devastator. The Tbolts and Thawk straffe the BTS and kills some stuff. The BTS doubles to deny Blitz. The Land Speeders double and lay a BM. The Bikes double and do the same. The Terminators engage. The Terminators fail all their saves but the Swarm breaks do to losses. The Tacticals double and lay a BM on the Trygons.

Turn 4 Turn 4 The Land Speeders double and lay a BM. the Land Speeders sustain and take out a DC. The Harridan engages the Scouts. It goes for two rounds but the Harridan wins, wiping the Scouts out. The Tacticals lay a BM on the Trygons with a sustain. The Trygons marshall and remove a BM... The Thawk lays a BM. A swarm engages the Tacticals. Two guants go down but the Tacticals break. The Tbolts breaks the Trygons. The last Swarm drops in behind the Speeders but a march can get them to the Blitz. End of Game End of Game

shame your opponent didn't land the t'hawk as that would have denied the Blitz. Any idea why he didn't? Looked like there was enough room, just. beautifully painted marines too and I like the Harridan's winter camo, almost impossible to see it so what are the Jaldon directed changes in 0.4? No merging? anything else?

He didn't because I had two swarms yet to drop, so engaging it would have been possible. Marines would have won by just shy of 500 VP if it went to points.

ah, and one of those swarms would have been plotted to land on the blitz?

Two swarms had yet to arrive via Planetary Assault that turn, so the THawk could have been engaged by both of them. Failing that, they both could have went after the Bikes too and grabbed DTF.
