Start of Game Start of Game The Hell Talon's drops some BP on a swarm 1, all brood creatures save, all synapse creatures fail... Swarm 2 marches up to cover. The other Hell Talons kill a whole bunch of brood creatures in the BTS. The BTS marshalls. The Hell Blades lay a BM on the Dactylis. Swarm 3 marches to cover. The Warlord doubles and lays a BM on Swarm 3. The Harridan doubles and lays a BM on the Warlord. The Land Raiders advance and kill all the Warriors with 4 hits. The Dom doubles up and barfs all over the Warlord. The Forlorn Hope ZoCs the Dom. The Genestealers engage the Warlord. Two to four. The Warlord breaks and the stealers break from their losses. The retinue in the woods breaks swarm 3, it falls back to within synapse range of the BTS. The Dactylsis hackdown the broken Warlord retinue. The BTS doubles and takes out 3 DC on the Harridan. Swarm 1 doubles up. The Forlorn Hope hackdown a Stealer. The bikes march to engage the Dom next turn.

The Trygons and Lictors arrive. Turn 2 Turn 2 The BTS backs up and takes out a Trygon, the Forlorn Hope screen them and the Infantry. Swarm 2 engages the Forlorn Hope. They're wiped up thanks to Dom support. The Dom barfs all over the Bikes and hits 7 times! The last one fails its save against the Biocannon. A single Helltalon scores two hits on 7 on the Dactylis, they fail their saves. The Hell Blades break the Trygons which fallback to assault positions. The Haddidan advances and lays a BM on the Bikes. The Hell Talons lay a BM. The BTS marshalls into cover. The Land Riaders lay a BM on the Dom. The Lictors engage the Forlorn Hope. All but one stand goes down. Two Lictors fall to support but the Forlorn Hope is hacked down. The retinue in the woods lay a BM on the BTS. The Stealers march to screen the BTS from a clipping assault. The Bikes engage the Stealers. They're wiped out. Swarm 1 marches to a T&H.

Turn 3 Turn 3 The Land Raiders sustain on the Dom and lay a BM. The Bikes retain and engage. Two Bikes go down and the Dom breaks with 5 DC left. The Dactylsis sustain on the BTS and lay a BM. The Harridan lays a BM on the Retinue in the woods. The Hellblades manage another hit on a 7 on the Dactylis, it dies. A Hell Talon fails to activate. The BTS engages the Bikes in a FF o' Doom. Two Warriors and a Carnifex fail their save, 4 bikes go down. The Bikes are wiped out. The BTS advance onto the 'nid have and grabs a T&H while breaking the Trygons. Swarm 2 doubles on the Land Raiders and lays a BM. The Hell Talons take out some gaunts but fail to kill the Tyrant in the BTS. Swarm 1 doubles and lays a BM on the Land Raiders. The Retinue advances and hacks down a Trygon. The Lictors ZoC the BTS.

Turn 4 Turn 4 The Dominatrix engages the Land Raiders. She misses with her TKs but the Land Raiders fail their normal saves. They are wiped out. The Dactylis lays some BMs on the BTS. The Hellblades break the Trygon again. The Lictors engage the BTS. Three Land Raiders go down! One Lictor goes down to the return fire. The BTS breaks, as does the Lictor from losses. The BTS marches to hold two objectives. The Hellblades kill the Harridan and break the gargoyles. Swarm 1 marshalls. The Retinue marshalls. Swarm 2 marshalls.

It was a fun game as always, I like that the 'nids get independent artillery formations now. I also like that they use the standard BTS rules. My dice were not too kind, but what can you do. Next time my Bikes will give the Dom a wide birth so they don't all die at once. I will be facing them again very soon - with the LatD I think. I have very little faith in Land Raider RA saves these days, I've been hurt too many times...(sob)

nice to see Dr Pepper getting a look in on the action! going by the batreps so far, it seems like Onachus nids are good at grinding down the enemy but don't see able to grab and hold objectives easily. Sounds about right to me anyway Chris, how can you complain about dice rolls when you kill 3 dactylis with 3 7s?!

Ya, all but one of the v0.1 bug victories were by points. v0.2 has been the same so far as well, no objective wins yet.

any ideas as to why? Army composition to date (ie. testing out theories rather than building competitive lists) or a list issue?

With the v0.1 games I think the restrictive army list played a big part. v0.2 has only seen 3 games so far so we'll see if things change.
