End turn 1

Terminators slaughtered a Feral and all but 2 fearless units from the Chaos BTS, in the process passing inumerable invulnerable and normal saves. In return they got macro barraged, with ignore cover.
The Marine air assault won, but only killed the oblit out of the bts who had fled behind a feral. Both were broken but at the cost of 5 stands of marines and several invulnerable saves.
Otherwise the marines moved up and surrounded the Chaos forward units.

End turn 2/start turn 3
Forgot to take snapshot end turn 2. Anyway.

Big fight in centre, raptors and MW/IC guns having a field day, small terminators turn up turn 2 to get enemy blitz.

Start turn 3 Chaos big termies turn up, jump warhounds and kill them with a little help from other units blazing away first.

Marines continue to fold, thunderhawk lands to stop Chaos getting Defend the flag and they shall not pass (in case no-one rallies).

Wow... I lost hard. Taught me a lot about how to actually play the game, rather then just pushing dudes around and making pew pew noises.

well, he is a tricky bugger :)

still, just mention Guardians to him and listen to the fits of apoplexy. Very entertaining..
