Well in order to test out some of the changes proposed to the AMTL list, my epic game a couple of weeks ago before the server crash ended up as a playtest for me rather than a fun game. This also marks my first batrep here or anywhere for that matter. :)

AMTL changes: 1 free weapon per reaver, 2 per warlord, 25 points for each after that, warhounds in packs only, CML to 50 points with ground attack, any destroyed battle titan gives BTS.

Lists:
Marines:
Terminators + Captain 375 (BTS)
Terminators + Chaplain 375 (BTS)
Warhound 250
Warhound 250
Thunderhawk 200
Thunderhawk 200
Thunderhawk 200
Tactical 300
Tactical+ Dreadnought 350
Landspeeders 200
Thunderbolt 150
Thunderbolt 150
3000

AMTL:
Warlord (legate, CML, 2x TLD, 2x Lasburners)
Warlord (CML, 2x TLD, 2x volcano cannons)
Warhound Pack (PBG, VMB)
Warhound Pack (PBG, VMB)
Sentinels
Sentinels

I went with the warlords because the reavers would be too fragile against anything other than marines and I didn't want to instantly give away BTS. The rest was to provide speed and keep teleporters off the Warlords. CML was still a better deal than tbolts because I have so few support slots and I can't waste one on something that can't take or contest objectives.

Turn one to follow shortly.

Terminators captain retain and shoots at warlord legate dropping the rest of the shields.
Sentinels Blitz triple up to put the marine landspeeders in their ZOC and contest marine objective 2.

Thunderhawk empty assaults with the second tactical detachment on warlord Legate getting vaporized under 11 failed saves even though they give 4 hits to the titan.

We ran out of time.

Losses:
AMTL 3x Sentinels 2x warhounds: 600 (I guess that since no single detachment was destroyed, AMTL losses would technically be zero)
Marines: 3x thunderhawk, 1x tactical detachment, 1x terminator, 1x warhound: 1575

Well that was it. I was out of activations and he didn't get a chance to play out the rest of his turn, Unfortunately we were in such a rush by the end I forgot to fire the CML on the assaulting Tactcial detachment in the last turn. I also think I messed up with the counter charge move although it really made no difference on the assault results. With WE, if you aren't fully engaged can you still perform a countercharge move and barge enemy units even though there are some already in base contact?

I think I was in good standing for turn 4 since all of the marine mobility had been eliminated outside of the speeders and warhound.

Wow, do you normally play with that amount of terrain?

My first thought too, with no where to hide I'm not surprised the marines took a pounding.

We usually play with about that much terrain in different configurations since that's about all I have available. I think the issue was more the marines throwing formations piecemeal at the titans and not so much the terrain given practically the whole marine force was airborne and most objectives were in the ruined city surrounded by decent cover.
