Another Tau game that was played against the IG.  We played lengthwise along the table and I found the terrain to be quite the bottleneck for both armies.  The Storm Troopers came early to the party and shot at my Tetras.  Bad Guard!  Bad!  Bad!

It is an odd occurrence that I continually underestimate Rough Riders.  Here they are feeding my Stealth Suits to their FLESH EATING HORSES.   :evil:

I moved the Scouts through the thin space between the ZOC of the IG and the board edge and fire a crossfire shot back toward the Firewarriors.  Then retaining I pull the crossfire the opposite way.  They break.

On my rank flank the 2nd armored company is finally coming close to my Stingrays.  I manage to get another successful volley on them.

Tired of being used as target practice, the Imperium drives their Russes straight up the center to break the Tau.  It doesn't work.

The Russ have dealt my Firewarriors a serious blow, but they really should have fired on the Broadsides.  REEAALLLY should have.  They move and fire on the Russes doing them severe damage.  But the Crisis suits retain, move forward, and draw another deadly crossfire that breaks the Leman Russ ans sends them sprawling backwards.  

The Game ends with the Greater Good grabbing Hold the Line and Defend the Flag.  

This game was more defensive than the last, but the terrain was difficult because it channeled all movement through three main lines on the board.  While it wasn't as fun as battling Chaos, I did find it a good challenge.

They really are fantastic, had 3 kill a revant formation a while ago. And of course they have taken down warlords etc. I think as they are so cheap and throw away people do it and often get good results :)

They are my Achilles heel apparently.  It didn't dawn on me until this last game I played on Saturday that I simply screw up everytime they are fielded.  I must rectify this problem immediately.
