Excellent battle report. Would be interesting to read your thoughts about facing Nids after playing them so much. /Fredmans |

A lot of Raveners in there, I think this is the first list on here that I've seen that is showing a significant shift towards Raveners with reduced Gaunts. As well as a Spacecraft with Vituperator planetfall option there is also a possibility to add a Spacecraft that allows 1-2 synapse swarms to mycetic spore drop (cost per stand or formation but just a straight drop with no damage component) Also on tunnelling you could look at deployment turn in board thirds. On a 4ft/122cm board that would allow turn 1 deployment for the 1st 16"/40cm, turn 2 upto 32"/80cm and turn 3 upto opponents board edge. That would allow attacking the middle objectives a turn earlier but still would require a turn 3 attack on the Blitz objective. Still not seeing many Tyranid victories on here. |

Quote: (arkturas @ 06 Jun. 2009, 12:18 ) Also on tunnelling On thing to think about with Tunnellers is that, on Turn 2, you can appear right at the middle of the table and, with Raveners, strike 40cm deep, with 15cm of firefight range... I'm not sure how that's not seen as getting deep into enemy territory. |

Quote: (arkturas @ 06 Jun. 2009, 12:18 ) A lot of Raveners in there, I think this is the first list on here that I've seen that is showing a significant shift towards Raveners with reduced Gaunts. There are still five Guant Clusters and two Gargoyle Clusters in this army and just three Ravener Clusters... I'd say that's my usual normal Common Broods for most armies, over several versions; the LV change has nothing to do with it. Players who have always used Raveners aren't shifting their Common Broods that much, it's mainly people who *didn't* use Raveners at all before that "have" to now that are giving the appearance of a shift. |

If you think that Raveners are to common then make then Uncommon Broods. They are a only Fast Attack (so half as common as Troops eg Gaunts)choice in WH40k anyway. |
