Thanks for the report Hena. Very helpful. Quote: (Hena @ 20 Oct. 2008, 00:32 ) Always popped up didn't have much effect on the game as Morays were mostly broken. A very important point that I hope doesn't go unnoticed. |

Thanks Hena. I was more pointing to the broken comment rather than Always Popped Up. Morays spend most of the game broken and that is a balancing factor in their abilities. No point nerfing them drastically when they are so easy to deal with. I have NEVER played a game (well over a dozen using Morays) without at least one Moray being broken early in the game (sometimes they have never rallied either). Believe me, I do understand the reasons behind APU, but I just don't believe the extra hassles it comes with will make Support Craft any more/less effective. Morays will still be broken easily no matter the rule (in fact, they are easier to break with the present Support Craft rule - they can't hide). |

Quote: (Hena @ 19 Oct. 2008, 17:32 ) One question did arrive. In first turn the Stealths with First Strike FF managed to kill one Whirlwind that was in base to base with one Stealth. Would that one stealth get to attack still? Essentially First Strike phase had gone so it's FF was already used and CC wouldn't happen as its opponent was killed. We went with allowing Stealth to make a normal FF attack instead. Looks to have been a good game all round, thanks for the report and pictures. On the Stealths and First Strike, it sounds as though you got it right. The unit only has a single attack in assault, which may be "First Strike" in FF (this is because First Strike is a weapon note with a small arms range). The fact that the 'First Strike' round kills off some enemy leaving other units without enemy in B-B does not stop them fighting using FF instead. In your example, I presume you ended up with two Stealths in FF that managed to kill a single Whirlwind in the 'First Strike' round of the assault. In this case, when you get to the 'normal' round of combat, the remaining three Stealths use either CC or FF as appropriate (which is what I think you did). The fact that one of the Stealths lost his CC opponent does not stop him from fighting. |
