Hello!

today I took a closer look at the Orkstein army list. Since I have tons of Stompaz, I am looking for a good way to use them in an army. Sadly, the list I found suitable was outdated, and I was very dissapointed to find that the Stompa Mob was removed from the current list.

That's a shame IMO. Also I miss the Snappa mob, surely it cannot be OP without the Landa in the list?

any plans to bring either back?

cheers,

Both the Stompa mob and the Snappa mob got removed so as to focus on the Gargants part of the Gargants army list.

well but you left the infantry mob in, so where's the difference? I don't quite get it. I find Dreads and Khans and Stompaz to be much more appropriate to be running around at the Gargants' feet. It is a mech list, isn't it?

It's a Gargant list, and I looked to primarily focus on those aspects that fit that theme, and remove elements that hurt the theme, or were simply unnecessary.

I'm sure that a list could be made that had air-transportable squadrons of Dreadnoughts, but I didn't feel it was appropriate for a Gargant list to be focusing on that.

The infantry mobs were kept, as a way to allow the list some units to capture ground, but their deployment options were considerably reduced to keep them from being a primary detachment.

I'm no longer the champion by the way.

The air-assault Dreads seemed a bit overpowered to me when I read the earlier list, so removing the Landa made sense to me. But I thought the mob itself to be cool.

And about the Stompas - I just have over 20 of them and I'd like to use them ;) (although with the Zzap Upgrade they might be a bit OP, since they can also be garrisoned)

Cool, but not Garganty.

I suggest using either the core Ghazgul Ork list (which can take unlimited Stompas), or the Stompy Warhorde list here: viewtopic.php?f=83&t=22042 (where Stompas can proxy for Megadreads).

Point of clarification: wasn't the list actually "owned" by you by way of Epic:Mechanicum in the first place?
The reason I ask is that means intrinsically the NetEA list is "borrowed" for lack of a better term or better put, it's a branched version.

I tried that, but was unbalanced. Just didn't work well focusing on just Stompaz, or maybe I was too stupid.

this list is perfect! Thanks a lot for that, I didn't have it on my radar. :)

I borrowed it from NetEA, albeit I also wrote that list :-)
