Post subject:  40k 7th edition ord codex - new units and fluff

There's two editions of the new Ork codex, the £30 main one and the £30 Gazghkull Waaagh supplement. These can be bought together in the warboss edition for £100.

yeah.

I didn't buy the Gaazghkull one, but it supposedly has a section dedicated to Arkimede's Kustom Gubbinz, so it might be the more war engine orientated of the two.

In the main codex, there was no mention of any superheavy beyond the Stompa (our Mekboy Stompa). Nuthin. Not even a decent background image. Big Gunz have morphed into 'Mek Gunz' which are the same, but with a couple of bigger options:
Lobba, Zzap and also, Bubblechuka, Kustom-Mega Cannon, Smasha Gun (lifta droppa), and Traktor Kannon. Nothing new there, but plenty that's older then me :)
There's also the three planes - dakka-jet, burna-bomma and blitz-bomma, but we've discussed them already.

Two new units - Gorkanuat and Morkanuat,

They're roughly equivalent to our stompas, and more equivalent to the Russ-bot that a lot of people converted and fielded in 40K.

Described as 'a massively overbuilt armoured war suit for a lone Nob who wants to make a name for himself.' It's bigger, tougher and got more weaponry then a Deff Dred.
It also has a 6 model transport capacity. It's basically a scaled down 40K stompa, which also has a a mob size transport capacity.
This is an interesting differentiation GW seem to be pushing the Orks along - it does make sense that any Ork WE would have hordes of infantry hitching a ride.
