I posted something similar some time ago, but under different rules section.

Firstly the Landa, how are the transport rules interpreted? Can I have ten units plus four extra grots, 14 units in total?

I'm thinking of taking a Warband, 10 units and delivering with a Landa (most probably on/near the blitz), is this a sound strategy?

How do you guys utilise your Landas?

I don't have the grot minis to take big/Uge Warbands, currently I can only field one Warband (due to lack of grots), is an Ork list viable with so few infantry or do I need to find me more grots?

I like to put Biker formations in my Landas, with Skorchas too. Land and shoot or land and engage, they can do either!

if you're light on grotz, you might want to consider speed freaks, lots of boys in trukks with no grots, you can still take landas, although are more limited on what you can put it them (I plan on a big warbike outrider formation)

otherwise you may struggle with ghazkgkull's horde as it tends to work well with quite a few mobs of boyz, and you really need the grotz to make them effective

if you have enough for a mob in a landa with 4 grotz, you might be okay focusing on kults of speed and blitz brigades with the rest of the army

I have just found two more stands of grots and more than enough Boyz/nobs to complete another Warband, but I do like the speed freak idea.

Make both; 90% of the unit types are transferable between both lists.

If I'm playing Freaks then I'll fly in a Big Outrider formation. For normal Orks I'll take a mob with 2 extra boys and grotz to negate the first 4 hits. I've seen others use extra Nobz, but I prefer to reduce the casualty modifier rather than look for more hits.

Great answers thanks guys.

Another quick question, could an official Landa owner (don't have to be a club member ;D ) send me the following dimensions please:

Length (nose to tail):
Wingspan (tip to tip of main wing)
Height (undercarriage to top)
Weight (in tons), just kidding ;D

Yes you've guested it, I'm planning to make a landa or two.

FYI GW Ork landa is 6.5cm long and has a 4.2cm wingspan, it's about 2cm wide along the fuselage, so this will be quite a bit bigger.....

Thanks
