Here's the latest snapshot of the Ork lists to be included in the Epic: Mechanicus supplement.

As ever, playtests appreciated.

Cool!
Gargant Bigmob 3.02 = Albork Orkstein’s Gargant Bigmob?

Good :)

Some curiosity in the Grotlist:
Grot Launchas formation and Grot Bomb Mob formation are identical but the one has 4 unit increments and the other 5 unit increments? All use only Grot Bomb Launchas.

Oops on the Grot Bomb thing. :-)

I'll delete the 4 unit formation.

Cheers E&C, will try and get some playtests in. Anything in particular you want tried out?

Bit gutted not to see regular stompas in there, but I'm sure I'll live...! What was the logic there outta curiosity mate?

Cheers

That'd be most awesome. :-)

The main lists I'm looking at testing at the moment are the Gargant Bigmob and the Stompy Horde.

The Speed Freaks & Blood Axe lists have had a lot of testing, and the Grot list is really mostly just for fun.

Half out of an aim to modernise a bit, half just for uniqueness to set this campaign apart a bit.

Will do, those are the two which interest me the most which helps!

Fair enough. I agree with it in the Mek list, although seems like an unusual ommision not to have Stompas in the Stompy list. I'll give it a whirl and see how it plays though mate.

Another quick Q for you: Is there any reason that the Stormboyz formation can't have any upgrades (I thinking about the Koptas in particular) but the Kommandos can? Seems counter-intuitive to allow the 35cm move Koptas into the 15cm move Boyz, but not with the faster jump pack troops. Might be me missing out on a logical design reason though?

Cheers

Use Megadreads instead :)

But yes STompas are missingin the Gargant Big Mob list to fill the gab between Dreadnought and Kustom Stompa.

It is mostly so as to put emphasis on the other formation types. Stormboyz do appear in this horde, and they do have their special method of arrival via Bommer, but other than that they're not well favoured in the Stompy Horde and don't get all the best gear.

Megadreads fill pretty much the same niche in the Stompy Horde list, only they're slightly worse (No aux gun on their CC weapons), and cheaper. You could easily proxy in them if you wanted to help test or play the list.

The Gargant Mob list doesn't have Stompas because I wanted that niche clear, to concentrate on the bigger Gargants.

Cool - cheers for this. Makes sense now :-)
Have to admit though, on paper I would very rarely take a Bommer at the moment. Compared with a Landa it's got a worse armour save, no RA save, smaller transport capacity and restricted transport options. On paper at least it the improved firepower doesn't seem to make up for this. However I'll reserve final judgement until I've actually used it.

Agree 100% with this.
Although I do miss my Stompas from the other list. I was looking forward to an OGBM style list that would allow me to use my 20 Stompas. Guess I can proxy them as Mega Dreds as I've seen mentioned in another post.

Cheers

Just noticed that in the Speed Freaks list, GunForts when bought for a Blitz Brig are 135pts, but when bought for a Fortress Mob are 125pts.

Also, the BatFort upgrade for a Fortress Mob is only 100pts. About what it's worth I reckon, but should it be 115pts?

Cheers
