Attached are 4 of the 5 Ork lists I'm looking to include in my next supplement (Mechanicus vs Orks):

1- Gutgrub Badfang’s Stompy Onslaught (Walker Themed Ork list)
2- Sun-Tzork’s Grotling Waaaaaagh! (Gretchin themed Ork list)
3- Harley Orkison’s Speed Freaks Clan
4- Kolonel Sandorks’ Blood Axe Clan

The 5th list will be a Gargant Bigmob list.

Lists 1 & 2 are written by me.
List 3 is Championed by Tiny-Tim (I'll be reaching out to him to get him to correct any mistakes I've made writing up the list). I've used a different name because this supplement isn't set on Armageddon.
List 4 is Championed by Nealhunt, but was slightly modified by me when writing it up in a Supplement-compatible manner (Ditto)

So, are these lists looked upon favourably?

Interesting lists :)

Just a couple of thoughts.

Stomper Army
Are the Mega-Dreads really necessary? Seems like they're just Stompas in essence? What's the differentiation in a battlefield role? Or is this just another "It's in 40K" addition? That's not a personal swipe, I have the same issue with every Land Raider/Dreadnought/Etc thing that comes down the pipe, that doesn't have a distinctive battlefield role change, or at the least, an official model (why I'm not as irked by Razorbacks and the two categories of Marine Dreadnoughts).

Is the Mekboy Stompa supposed to have all the primary weapons, or just one? And no option for a Kustom SawBlade?

Grotling Army
I really want to try the Grotling army, though I'm not sure I've got sufficient figures to do it justice. It's a shame they don't have some form of silly clown car transport option (Battlewagons that carry 1 Boyz/4 Grotz, but must make a DT test if it moves more than once in an action, or moves more than half in a move).

Also, I think the SunTzork Strategy Rating should be d3. He's supposed to want to be the smartest. So sometimes, he should have some cunning plan. Rolled either before the game, or any time it comes up. Either could work. It's not like the army's gonna actually win or anything. :)

Speed Freak Army
Is the new Speed Freak army supposed to be identical to the old Speed Freak army with a few cosmetic changes? Cost of Nobz Bikers, and where they can be added being the only two changes I can see.

Blood Axe Army
I think the two Lobba units could go to 60cm range without much problem. At 45cm, I just can't see passing up a Big Gun option.

Shouldn't this army have a more iconic Kommando unit? Either a 0-1, or just plain make the standard Ork Warband 2N+2G+6Kommando with the appropriate price difference. When I think Blood Axe, I think Kommando. And just throwing them in as a minor formation seems like a wasted opportunity.

That's just the stuff off the top of my head.

Also, the Oddboyz upgrade to the Tankaz formation currently doesn't do anything. None of the options allow an Oddboy (as currently written) to be added.

Little difference in battlefield role. However Stompa's ain't in this list so it's ok swapping them I think.
They're slightly cheaper, and are likely to work better when spammed.

Also, I want to get to use my models I made in an army! :-)

All weapons, it's based on the weapons on the one in 40k.

Genius! That'll go straight in.

The nob bikers as upgrades thing is actually a mistake by me. I was messing around with some ideas and forgot to remove that one. It's supposed to be the standard Speed Freaks list.

Nealhunt might have some ideas about this.

It makes me sad not to see any Deftkoptas in the Grot list. Or some Grot Flyer. What about Grot bombs?!?!? And are Grot Tanks really LV's? There's not enough extra metal bolted on to make them AV's? I just think a iconic unit in list might not get used much or easily shot up if there just LV's? Are Grot Mega Tanks big enough to be DC 2? I have no idea of the 40k rules but I was just wondering, as it looks big.

Either way I'm going to have to find something to use for Grots or steal everybody's to make the list work. And find a Mega Grot Tank proxy too.

Hmmmmm.....*Starts Plotting to Steal Grots*

Is the mega warkopter going to use the VTOL (or whatever rules that were devised) to represent the hovering rather than just skimmer?

There's the tau support craft rule? (might also be in either necrons or dark eldar)

I'd reccommend adding options to take extras of all the base units to the Sun Tzork list. Tthat way there's more potential variability in mob size. For instance, in the Supagunz Gunz Mob allow any number of Big gunz to be taken at +25 each in addition to the existing options. It's how all the other Ork lists are structured as far as I'm aware, and emphasizes the somewhat random nature of Ork formation size. You don't need to worry about non-25pt increments, either, so you've got a lot more flexibility in pricing.

Also, love the "Feeble little fists" and "Chippas" weapons!

It's a Grot list, they're not meant to be *good*!!!

They're firmly in the AV category.

Also, in the Stompa list, it should be "Killkroozer", not "Killa Kroozer"

Makes sense.

Thank'ee. :-)

I'm still tweaked that the Grots think that Dreadnoughts are Gargants, too. :-P

Yeah, I noticed that one after my last post. Awesome. I need to see how many of the little guys I have... and how many I need.

Simple Answer is.... Not Enough of them and Much More....

So after so more thinking... Why isn't the Grotnought in the Grot list? and also why aren't normal Grots in it too??? Then a mob could be made of 1/3 of each type or 1/2 Specialty Grot and Normal Grot? What do you think? I like how they are 7+, lol! And why not a Grot skimmer thing while were at it. Like a Grotkopta! Eh?

Look again at the CC and FF stats for the three Grot types.

Grots 6+CC 6+FF
Grot Stabberz 5+CC 7+FF
Grot Gunnerz 7+CC 5+FF

What E&C has done is take standard Grot type, and split it into two, that average back to the original type. It's darn clever, IMO.

Yeah, why not Grotnoughts?
