Hi guys,
To get my friends interested in Epic, I'm going to be getting two 2,000 pt. armies of IG and Orks specifically. However, I could use some help with the Orks. Could anyone give some Ork advice to a newbie?

Welcome to TacCom Magos Errant. For a starting Ork force @2000 points I would recommend a mix of the archetypal Ork units. Example List Big Warband with Warboss 350 Big Warband and 2 Extra Boyz and Grotz 400 Big Kult of Speed 350 Kult of Speed 200 Big Blitz Brigade with 2x Oddboyz (2xZzaps or 2x Supaguns, 3 Gunwagons, 3 Flak Wagons) 350 Stormboyz 150 Fighta-bommas (4) 200 That gives a good mix of infantry, armour, air and light vehicles. Its an all-rounder list designed to introduce the main elements of the Orks to a new player. And should form the basis for many decent Ork lists built up to 3000 points by adding some specialist units such as a Gargant, Supa-Stompa, Landa or whatever. |

Quick overview of ork units and tactics. Also, there is a Making Orks Work thread which is a little worse for wear after the board crash, but should still be legible and useful. |

Can't see any of the links on the 'Making Orks Work' page, they just go back to the board front page. Have they been lost forever? |

Even more disturbing is though it shows 3 replies to your question. When i come into this area all i see is the question and not the replies.
