First off, WAAAGH!!! Second, when an Oddboy is added to a unit, when does one make the decision as to whether the upgrade is a Soopagun or a Supa-Zzap-Gun? |

I have always played it at army creation as there is after all 2 different models. But no its not explicit. I would never dream of 'tailoring' the army to that extend though (I just take 2 supas and 4 zaps |

I agree. Else Space Marines could choose which type of Dreadnought they would field every game, too. |

hmmm.. I really feel that it has to be at army creation. But both arguments work for nearly every list. I guess it comes down to sportsmanship. A sportsman would custom his list as he see's the Op's army. the Sportsman would have it all sorted at army creation time. |

I've always written my choices into the army list before printing it out, but realized I couldn't recall that way of doing it actually written down anywhere. As far as I know, only the two Eldar spacecraft specify that you choose their weapons during deployment. |

Technically, you choose your army lists at the same time, so that *is* covered in the "How to use the army lists" section. But, when you purchase an Oddboy character, or a Razorback for that matter, when making an army from the army list, that's *all* you're required to indicate, as that's all that's shown in the army lists; there's nothing about indicating "sub-"options at all. Now, I do agree that such "OR" choices should be decided when making the army, unless otherwise indicated, but there is nothing "automatic", or addressed, about it in the rules. (And, as a point of interest, I agree with the EpicUK interpretation of the Marine Transports rule, essentially on the basis that Marines should have that kind of flexibility, being both tactical and strategic geniuses.) |

I always thought Tyranid swarms were selected in full before the game at least that's the impression I have from all the reports on here (Although you can pass stands between formations anyway). I'd go with pick the oddboy at army list stage. |
