This comes up now and then... if gargant is ablaze and '1' is rolled for a fire in the end phase, starting a new fire, is dice rolled for that new fire that turn and/or does it do damage the same turn? (I assume that fures can cause criticals as normal, so similarily, if a fire causes a critical, is dice rolled for that new fire immediately?) ..or is it just that at the start of the end phase, calculate fires and roll that many d6s to determine number of fires burning afterwards and damage caused... |

A single roll for existing fires I think is how it works? ![]() |

I'd say roll for all existing fires at one time. Any added fires would not cause a roll until the following turn. In fact, I'd say that all critical resolution in the end phase is one step. Anything caused in the resolution is "new" and you wouldn't back up and start the process all over. Any damage, including critical results, has the chance to cause criticals, so if the fires cause 2 points of damage, that's 2 more crit checks. Same with Imperial titans and reactors - if you take damage, check for crits. |
