So the LatD Redux list has been approved.



In terms of what the list is:

• It will use the army list/points from the last page of the Redux PDF: https://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd ... p?id=14705
• It will use the stats from the current approved LatD list: https://tp.net-armageddon.org/army-list ... enant.html
• Except the Icon Bearer will be +25 points instead of +10 points (i.e. NetEA price for the NetEA stats)
• And the Redux Altar stats will be added in (giving people the option for a wheeled 25cm move 5+RA save alternative version)

I've got some work ahead of me to get it into the TP (I'm hoping next week), but in the meantime do people have any ideas of what to call it? I'm sure it will forever be the "Redux" or "LatD Redux" list colloquially, but those lack a bit of the grimdark fluffiness.

There's plenty of names here: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/List_of_Chaos_Cults and I thought the "Brotherhood of the Serpent's Eye" or the "Brotherhood of the Knife" were a good fit.

However, I also thought that a nod to the list's past would be good as well, and have been kicking around "The Sodality of Revival" or "Children of Revival".

Why not just drop the redux part but keep calling it the LatD list? I don't see any need for a new name.

It's an experimental version of the LatD that has proven itself and is now replacing the old LatD but it's basically a revision of the same thing so the name should stay the same. Lost and the Damned has long been used as the faction name in 40k and it has a lot of heritage and people will know what it is. Far better than inventing some new obscure name and unnecessarily confusing people.

We're not replacing the old LatD list, this is a new list.

Ah ok, odd that you're keeping the two lists. I know in the UK there is an Epic UK LaTD revision coming that is basically going to strip out most imperial guard elements from the list and do some balance tweaks, but that it will replace the existing list not coincide with it, so I assumed the same was the case here.

Slaves to Darkness gets my vote too in this case. You're then re-using the two old classic chaos realm of chaos titles.
