Post subject:  House Devine List?
if someone has already written a list for the slaaneshi knight household, then super, but I'm thinking I'd like a crack at putting one together, with the three flavours of slaaneshi knight, and two light titan variants, I think there is enough to work with, without having to invent too much... thinking something along the lines of:

Core:

Hell Knight (4-6 stats as EC list)
Hell Scourge (4-6 stats as EC list)
Hell Striders (4-8 stats as EC list)

support: (1/2 per core choice)

Cultists (stats/points as LATD-redux minus transports/vehicles)
noise marines (one formation per 2k or similar, possibly belong in the allies/war engine section)
defilers (AA slaaneshy variant)

War Engines/flyers:

Subjugator
Questor
Hellblades

Daemons: (pact available to cults/marines only)

Daemonettes
Mounted Daemonettes
KoS

Thoughts? any links to fluff for more ideas? would rather not include all the new FW daemon engines if possible! ;)

Looks good :)

There was a recentish Horus Heresy novel that featured House Devine it could be good to check out for research? It's called Vengeful Spirit. I listened to around a third of the audio version I sneakily downloaded but got bored and moved on to other things.

FW haven't really done Slaanesh or Tzeentch yet, just Nurgle and Khorne, so you don't need to consider them.

Would love to run this (proxying the knights will be the only real issue), but I think adding the Noise Marines in the 33% War Machines/Flyers section would be suitably limiting and offer some interesting trade offs.

Thoughts about adding the Reviler or Painlord (Reaver/Warlord analogs) from the Emperor's Children list in that allocation as well?

The battle titans are a possibility for sure but I think having multiple sets of allies (noise marines, titans) might dilute the theme somewhat.... I only added noise marines as they are a stereotypically slaaneshified unit ;)

It might dilute the list, but what about piling them all into the same 25/33% "not-House-Devine" allocation? With the cost of the larger titans it keeps the really big stuff out of anything but the really big games (at 25% you wouldn't see a painlord in a 3000 point game and often probably not even a reviler), which seems to make sense to me, and it adds some critical thinking when it comes to army choices - scout titans, noise marines, flyers or one big guy - that should keep the focus on the knights but offer choices in which way you want to steer your dash of flexibility.

A possible alternative could be to shift the scout titans (two titan pack only) up to support "one per core", along with cultists and defiler-a-likes, leaving titans, including the singular scout formations, flyers and noise marines in a 25% "not-Devine" section.

Just thoughts, probably ridiculous so ignore it at your leisure!

working on that at the moment, currently weighing up the pros and cons of including the bigger titans as discussed a couple of posts ago, will get a list document up by the end of the week hopefully!

Throw in the bigger titans i say, many may not take them in the 33% bubble. But they would make a nice centrepiece to the army and a chaos Knight and Titan army would be interesting to play

The list already has 7 fearless formations, 4 of those WEs. I don't think larger fearless WEs are needed from a play or theme perspective.
