I was just wondering what was going on with the current state of the Night lords army list/Sub AC? Is the spot open again? Are people free to post a list and have a crack of their own? Id love to see a solid list get off the ground but obviously the current lists haven't been touched in almost/over a year. |

My reaction would be that as there is no active list then go ahead and give it a go, if you keep at it and others get interested in what you are doing then fantastic. In previous attempts I think the main problem has been making the NL sufficiently different to Black Legion without young overboard on special rules. + a lot of the NL idiosyncrasies don't carry over very well. |

This could b e pretty cool. I guess the first question is what do we have to do to make them feel like the night lords and not just a renamed black legion? |

Well the first thing is to determine a play style theme (nightlords is a name, not a style). So things that come to mind are ambush and terror tactics (disrupt and init bonuses?) perhaps? |

Ill come up with a bit of a throw around idea this weekend/the coming week and post it up. See what people think. After briefly looking at the other two attempts I like the idea of some sort of bonus with blast markers in combat... Perhaps the Night lords always get the bonus for the enemy having blast markers even if they don't? That way you can cull a few of the longer range non fluffy options but not lose the massive advantage of being able to pre prep units for assault with blast markers? If anyone has simply implemented rules ideas or a structural idea for the list put it forward! |

How about a special rule that some units get that gives them an additional action option that is one move, and any enemy unit that wants to interact with them in any way (shoot at. ect.) has to make a roll to see if they can see them. Stealth! |

Hi All You could say I am a long time listener, first time caller. I was looking to have a go at doing up an army list for the Night Lords if the position to do one up was open. I know these projects can take years to progress from developmental to official (and rightfully so) but I believe I can well stick to this for its duration. I do have some ideas to show what the Night Lords are and what they are not. Their background paints them as stealthy terror troops who have neither the technological advances of the Imperium or the true powers of chaos behind them. They are true renegades who will take what they can, take apart broken enemies and will likely take flight in the face of a fair fight. I would like to reflect these characteristics in an army list without making up too much in the way of brand new special rules. I believe I can in the near future come up with a list that can do this. Please let me know what people think on this. Thanks. |

Awesome. I would like to think I can put some of my ideas together on a first version of an army list and have something people can look at (and comment on) by Mid June. Thanks again. |
