That such a limitation would exist in lists/legions that are not one god oriented sounds fine to me. However is there a strong fluff reason to limit the number of Bloodthristers in a Khorne Daemon or Cult army, or Lords of Change in a Thousand Sons army? Thoughts welcome LotM |

In the current Codex: Chaos Space Marines Summoned Greater Daemons are a 0-1 choice. In Codex: Chaos Daemons Greater Daemons are HQ choices. So you can have only two of them but they can be of the same Chaos God if you wish. From fluff there is no reason to limit Greater Daemons. As Angron attacked Armageddon he had a bodyguard of 8 Bloodthirsters. There is an Apocalypse datasheet called Bloodthister Bloodbath consisting of 8 Bloodthirsters. In Epic 40k you could field whole formations of Greater Daemons. But you should consider that the stats for Greater Daemons would translate to an AV sized unit. The stats for Greater Daemons Epic: Armageddon uses are more fitting for the Daemon Lords Forgeworld has put in his Imperial Armour books. |

Thank you Lord BL:) Can you still still multiple Army schemes if you fill up each one before going to the next in 40k' If yes, that would mean that the 0-1 restriction is per army scheme. What about the FW daemon lords? can you have multiples? |

Sure you can still use multiple Force Organisation Charts for bigger games. The FW Daemon Lords are unique named creatures. |

EA has "upgraded" several units from their 40k incarnation. Greater Daemons is one, others are the Avatar and C'tan. I don't mind that, I think it's just as valid to say that 40k "downgrades" them so they can fit in a squad-based game. The background has them all as hugely powerful, AV sized would almost feel pathetic for them. The question is, is Angron's bodyguard of 8 Bloodthirsters a representative example, or is it an awesome concentration of power worthy of an especially exalted Daemon Prince? |

Well fluff says that an entire Company of Grey Knights was sacrificed to destroy Angron and his Bodyguards. Angron has Wh40k stats which are...hm...pitiful from a fluff standpoint of view. They are very similar to a generic Bloodthirster. And a correction: According to the Apocalypse datasheet for Angron he can take 2 - 12 Bloodthirsters as Bodyguard. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... Armageddon |

I have no issue with multiple GD however i would rather make that decision after a few test game examples. |
