Moving forward from the armybook I intend to address a number of issues in the Black Legion list (decimators, general strength, flyers, daemons etc) and push forward the development process for the various Chaos lists.

One of the lists that needs the most work (though is perfectly usable+balanced as it is) is the Lost and the Damned which, at the moment, is very bloated and suffers from being a dumping ground for Chaos units, a lack of play and a lack of attention.

I think that it would greatly benefit from being split into 2 more manageable and tighter lists. Obviously this is a large job and I don't have the time, or expertise, to do this as well as developing the Black legion and overseeing various human+chaos lists.

Therefore I'd like to announce that Tiny-Tim will be stepping into the role of AC of the Latd list or lists as it will become.

Congrats Tiny-Tim, and God bless us, every one!

Kudos to Steve54 too for stepping down from a role he knows he doesn't have time for.

Fair enough. I agree that the LaTD list could do with some work.

What would be the nature of the two list split you mention? Done by the chaos powers that typically ally, so Tzeentch + Slaanesh separated from Khorne + Nurgle? Or newly renegade Guard with IG vehicles vs very corrupted Daemon World forces with Daemon Engines?

I've never been hugely convinced by the idea of Daemon Engines being primarily available to random cultist uprisings, doesn't seem like they'd be the kind of guys who'd have the expertise to make or summon those machines. Personally I think they're best left to Chaos Marine armies, or perhaps more advanced Chaos Guard armies (ala the Blood Pact of the Gaunt's Ghosts books) that have the full backing of a Chaos overlord.

Good on 'ya Tim for taking this one on.

I'll leave that to Tim to go into when he comes around but I think it will be along the lines of traitor guard/Daemonic engines

That sounds like a good sensible split.

And good thinking for Steve to concentrate his time. And good luck to Tim.

As I know you're aware, I'd like to put in a bid for another core formation option or two. ;)

Thanks guys,

I'm looking to fire up some options for the new year. Then we can dive in and flesh out some revisions to this list & bring in some of the good work that has already been done on traitor guard lists.

Cheers,

Tim

query.

qon't splitting list into traitor guard and cultsits just result in a traitor guard list and a very similar list to the existing one?

Traitor Guard could be quite similar to the Vraks list?
I really like the look of that list and would love to see it better supported/developed.

I recently handed over the Championship of that list to Steve54, but I guess Tim could take it over?
