As in 5th Chaos God that fights the others?
Fluff-wise an army of malal worshippers doesn't really fit he tended to use individual champions, plus the fact he has disappeared quite conclusively from any recent fluff ...

with the usual explanation being that the writer somehow held onto the IP for malal. when that writer quit GW, malal disappered.
I'm sure he did have armies - he wasn't above tricking or enslaving other entities for the greater good. as it were.

BlackLegion's Red Corsairs list would probably work pretty well for a Sons of Malice army. By their fluff they are recently (41st millennium) turned to Chaos and the list is supposed to represent that.
