Well it looks as if all those links are broken.

Here is a link to two of the lists I could find for you. If I find more I will load them up for you

Cheers......

Well... it appears some threads have evaporated into the ether. The Legio Cariosus in frogbear's link was developed on here as a Nurgle legion but all the discussion threads are gone.

I posted a Suns of Damnation (Tzeentch) list as well in the past, though it was a pretty radical in terms of list structure and didn't have much testing and is due for some changes. I'll post it below. There are also Suns of Damnation titans listed in the Thousand Sons list.

You can always use the AMTL list for a proxy and just "chaos-ify" the titans themselves. Same if you want to do a House Devine Slaanesh Knight list, but that's a bit farther afield, imho.

I've been long absent, I was attempting to construct some Chaos Titan Legions a couple of years back, but University work overran me and I've never had the time to finish work on them, I've attached what I had as the later versions, but these are unfinished and have largely gone untouched for QUITE a while. By and large they were based on E&C's AMTL - I might find the time to get back to the project now that Uni is over, but these were last touched in 2009, so its been QUITE a while.

Hey guys,

Thought I would bump this and see where things a going. Had a look at the two newer lists and I have seen Neil's in the past. So far I am seeing faction specific list given some development, but nothing towards an undivided list.

Has anyone done any work in this field to date and can I get pointed in the right direction. I have a large collection of converted titans and would like to field them as they are as opposed to the restrictions of current lists.

In looking at the existing stuff that Frogbear posted, I like where things are starting and would like to see it move forward. Why did you make the close combat weapons free to the list? Here with the Chaos Titan Legion you have given them the ability to take multiple CC weapons with the additions of tails. Should we not be paying for that capability. Is it feasible to look at an expansion of the head weapons to include some of the rarer pieces from earlier versions of the Epic system. Specifically the CC, weapon and Corvus heads.

Just some thoughts.

Cheers
Aaron

I think trying to have different Chaos Titan lists for each God would be hard. I can see the need for a Khrone list or a Nurgle list but a Nurgle Titan list? Very Nichie. I would make 1 Chaos Titan list that can be any. Like I'm building Titan and choosing the Mark of Nurgle and there can only use these upgrades and units etc. Giving bonus or special treat depending on how devoted the list is made to a certain God. That makes sense?

You could simply add marks in the same way AOGBM lists add Mekboy Upgrades - Khorne gets CC EA+1 TK(d3), Nurgle gets +1DC, Tzeentch gets something else, etc.

SG's suggestion of Marks makes most sense to me and is consistent with many other GW games. Also agree that having more than one Chaos titan list would be unnecessary and would dilute playtesting.

Agree with the Marks and the single list. If there are marks then it's easy enough to take standard Imperial Titans and give them marks.

I would want to move away from specific parts and heads since a lot of people don't have access to them. If you have a system of marks and gifts them people can convert them or, if you have the parts, use them to represent the ability or mark

I especially agree with this for Chaos; the effect is what matters, there are a hundred one ways to get that effect, and Chaos by it's nature will use all of them.

+1 on move from specific parts and heads.

Fits in generally with EA approach to armies such as Orks and Chaos where host of specific units subsumed into some general categories.

Slaanesh could possibly do with a dedicated list given the questor, sub and knight variants. Maybe more of a titan-heavy knight world varient list than a chaos titan legion though.

Or those could just be Imperial Knights with Slaaneshi gifts and marks.

A specific sub-list would require its own testing and really depends on people having models that are long OOP. Knights in general are OOP as well but at least if there is one list with a Knight model that can be turned into a Questor or other specific model.

I think the aim of any new list should be that it does not require any OOP models to play it but that if you have OOP models you just get to have a neat looking and less generic force.

So new chaos lists can only include the contents of the current plastic infantry box?

Plenty of us are capable of making, converting, proxying and acquiring minis by our own means. Do not restrict list design based on GW's inability to support epic. In any case, imperial knights are OOP as well, so your proxying one OOP with another OOP.

Lists get made that have stats for units that have never had a mini. OOP minis are far esier to find than non-existant minis :P

That said im fine with proxying slaanesh knights for imperial knight world, or having a list that is designed to be flexible enough to represent things well in other ways. The OOP argument is just one that really irks me.
