Is there going to be any attempt to marry these up?

Edited because I got the EpicUK AA stat wrong.

Steve has a more competent summary further down.

We have NetEA Hellblade
Fighter, Sv6+, 2xReapers 15cm, AP4+/AT6+/AA5+, FxF (they should be 30 surely if they are FxF - I thought they were supposed to be Forward Arc hence the lower range?)
3 for 175

We have EpicUK Hellblade
Fighter, Sv6+, 2xReapers 30cm, AP4+/AT6+/AA6+, FxF
3 for 200

We have NetEA Helltalon
Fighter Bomber, Sv5+, Twin Las, 45cm, AT4+/AA4+, FxF, Havoc, 45cm, AP5+/AT6+, FxF, Incendaries, 2BP, FxF (weren' they going to be IC?)
2 for 225
Also note the Harbinger has Incendary bombs and it gets ignore cover. if they aren't both supposed to have the helltalon should shift to 'bombs'.

It was always supposed to be 1BP with ignores cover, but somewhere along the way a typo got kept.

I didn't realise the EUK Hell Talons were better & more expensive than the NetEA ones. I'd be happy enough with the EUK solution being adopted.

Indeed, thats what i thought - the bomber role being secondary not primary.

Yes the NetEA ones are supposed to be Forward arc last discussion with range 15 - the EpicUK are FxF so have longer range. Certainly of the two they both seem rather good :) Witht he EpicUK one probably being a bit better for the sheer volume of 'safe' AA fire they throw out when intercepting for the cost (and the long range 6 AP4+ shots!).

The stats for the EpicUK Hellblades are not correct, its AA6+ not 5+. Also there seems some confusion the EpicUK Helltalon doesnt have Ignore Cover so has the same stats as the NetEA version currently - just slightly more expensive.

EUK Helltalons have 2BP and Ignores Cover?
That's quite an upgrade from its pretty meagre abilities in the background & 40k.

'specially compared to those still-2BP EUK Marauders.

This is something I hoped to revisit before finalising the list but had left it to try and concentrate on getting the list structure approved. Since that furore seems to have abated lets sort this out before the list is finished

Current stats are

Hellblades

NetEA 6+ armour EUK 6+Armour
2xReapers 15cm AP4+/AT6+/AA5+ fxf 2xReapers 30cm AP4+/AT6+/AA6+ fxf
3 for 225 3 for 200

Helltalons

NetEA 5+ Armour EUK 5+ Armour
Incendiary Bombs 15cm 2BP fxf Incendiary Bombs 15cm 2BP fxf
Twin Lascannon 45cm AT4+/AA4+ fxf Twin Lascannon 45cm AT4+/AA4+ fxf
Havoc Launcher 45cm AP5+/AT6+ fxf Havoc launcher 45cm AP5+/AT6+ fxf
2 for 175 2 for 250

Even if we don't match up the hellblades I do think the helltalons definitely need a points boost to EUK levels - just for the 2x3+ intercept shots at 45cm

Joe: Ah, from the way you typed, I read that you meant that the stats TRC posted were wrong, at that they should have ignores cover.

Steve: If we're sticking with the 2BP rather than the 1BP it was tested with (For the aforesaid reasons), as well as the upgraded AA stats, then I've no obection to a points increase.

I would prefer 1bp ignore cover for background reasons especially since the netea list has the big bomber (which I guess would have 6x incendiary bombs as a result).

However if it sticks at 2bp should just be renamed to bombs as the big bomber uses a weapon of the same name.

As for the fighters, didn't realise the AA difference. Is it better to match up? Which is the worse plane?

In the update then it gots 2BP WITHOUT IC. I don't know why.

Well its double fire for the formation, a big boost overall. Otherwise per plane its no change/worse for AT and better for AP (slightly assuming cover most of the time).

Pixelgeek version had 2BP no IC, LordIs changes made it 1BP IC - based on the hardcopies I still have
